We live in unreasonable times. Discontent and hysteria reigns supreme. After a coronavirus lockdown, with the wholesale loss of jobs and the lack of fresh sports and entertainment, protests and riots have become the norm in cities across the United States. Seattle has even lost part of its city to a takeover, a proclaimed ‘autonomous zone.’ A desire for change is being expressed. It’s said that “Black Lives Matter” is all about social justice. The conduct and what is being said say otherwise. Everyone says that this social justice reform is focused on police action. Yet there is more going on behind the scenes. What is this stuff called social justice? Is it real or is it philosophical and political snake oil?
Social justice is said to be an ever-changing concept of fair and just relations between the individual and society, measured by the distribution of wealth, opportunities for personal activity, and social privileges. Social justice is said to offer equal access to wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. On the surface this sounds good, but this doctrine has its roots in the political philosophies of socialism and communism. This construct puts the government or State into the position of administering justice in the courts, as well as social justice, the kind that the ‘politically-liberal’ have been selling hard in the United States since the 1960’s.
Let’s go a little farther on the world’s concept on the idea of justice. It was originally based in the only true faith. The concept of justice has progressed into an independent set of beliefs based in philosophy. Any basis on scripture has become purely coincidental.
The modern concept of justice is said to come from a set of ethical ‘universal principles’ (based in part on Catholicism) which guide people in judging what is right and what is wrong, no matter what culture and society they live in. The other virtues of this ‘classical moral philosophy’ understood by men are courage, self-control or temperance, and prudence, the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason. The other virtues are courage, self-control or temperance and prudence, the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason. Faith, hope and love are often said to be the three religious virtues. These virtues or good habits are said to help individuals to fully develop their human potential, enabling them to serve their own self-interests while working in harmony with others for a common goal or the common good. It’s also said that the ultimate purpose of all the virtues is to elevate the dignity and sovereignty of the human person.
“The throne of perversity casts a spell of fascination, fashioning misery as law.” – Psalm 94:20, P4T
In the United States over the generations, ‘good government’ has been sold as the fulfillment of justice through the rule of law. Politics has taken up economic status and incorporated that into this philosophy of justice. Social justice is said to envelop economic justice, guiding its adherents in creating organized human interactions through established institutions. These social institutions, when properly organized, are said to provide access to what is good for the person and in personal associations with others. The United Nations promotes social justice as indispensable for the achievement and maintenance of peace and security within and among nations. What is sold as a tool of peace and freedom is actually a tool of control, a tool for building institutions and nations. What you might never guess is that justice, even Biblical justice, has been hijacked by the world and its’ institutions for corporate means. This system has been designed for the gain of worldly authorities as a means of weaponized control over the individual.
Their identity politics* is a false narrative, a type of philosophical and political snake oil grounded in lack, fear, ingratitude, and a heaping helping of outraged hysteria, a yawning canyon of destruction that can never be filled – something akin to a hole in the heart. This hole in the heart can only be sated with love, a love that can never be accepted because of deep neurosis. This mental condition is not unlike a perpetually squeaky wheel that can never be oiled, that ultimately alienates everyone until that wheel seizes up and perishes without achieving a real purpose beyond destruction. (Ecclesiastes 3:10-11; Psalm 31:15-16; Acts 17:22-27; Luke 18:1-8; Healing Your Life Resources)
Weaponized control has become the stock and trade of modern sovereignty and political movements. With the latest hysterical uprising of these special interests, you must go along to get along. You can’t have another opinion and you are being told to shut up when you do. There can be no discussion in the ‘court of public opinion.’ Their public exercise of self-absorbed hysteria is not unlike a discontented and toxic wife that is bent on destruction of her family for her own entitlement, and focused on the destruction of the future of her soon-to-be ex-husband (reverse roles if you can imagine this better). Like this toxic wife, leaders and voices of this latest bevy of uprisings must be right because they are entitled to be right. There will be little to no discussion of their narrative, their viewpoint. You will hear about it endlessly though. The demon will never be sated, the hole never filled.
“Evil men do not understand the rule of righteousness. Ask of YHWH and understand all.” – Proverbs 28:5, P4T
Whether in Hebrew (tsedheq, tsedhaqah, mishpat) or Greek (dikaiosune), YHWH Elohim is righteous, righteousness – not justice that man can use and abuse. Man can only be righteous by following His Teaching, the example of Messiah, the teaching of accurately-divided Scripture. The original words are the same – righteousness. Why use another word? Some Scripture translations use the word justice. Elohim’s righteousness is justice according to these translations of scripture, or His righteousness fails to exist. There exists no other justice, rightness, or righteousness, except in the minds of fallen men. YHWH is the Righteous Judge. Fallen men and women may claim his teaching, his religion, but follow another god – even the yawning canyon of destructive want that rests perpetually in their hearts. Man’s social justice has become a cruel companion of misery and bitterness, fortifying their own destruction in time.
Not all that say to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ enter into the purpose of the Kingdom of Heaven. To the contrary, he that yields the purpose of My Father in Heaven. Many say to Me in that Day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and in Your Name cast out devils and in Your Name yielded many miracles? Then at that time I will agree with the authority of Heaven, them I never knew. You! Depart from Me ministers of wickedness.” – Matthew 7:15-23, P4T
“And then, the lawless will be revealed – whom the Master will consume, whose spirit His mouth even put away by the appearance of His Presence. (*) The presence of the lawless has been [whose presence] according to the effective operation of Satan through all power and signs, even lying wonders (**) and from all deceit, unrighteousness with the perishing; because they did not receive the love of the truth or salvation. And in this way Elohim sends them the effective operation of error. They believe the lie so that all are judged that do not believe truth, but pleased through unrighteousness.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12, P4T
“Though you seize the testimony of men, the testimony of Elohim is greater in that this is the testimony of Elohim which made the Way around, testified by His own Son. The one that places trust towards the Son of Elohim possesses the testimony in oneself. Not trusting in Elohim makes one a liar, because of not believing the testimony that Elohim made the Way around, the witness of His Son.” – 1 John 5:9-10, P4T
“For judgment repents to righteousness. All upright of heart pursue it.” – Psalm 94:15, P4T
The Way of Righteousness is superior to man’s ideas of justice.
His righteousness deals appropriately with those who do right and wrong. (Isaiah 40:13-15)
“To exercise righteousness is a friend to the righteous, His righteousness against workers of unrighteousness.” – Proverbs 21:15
“When we agree with righteousness as to our sins, He is trustworthy and right to forgive the sin, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.“ – 1 John 1:9, p4T
He loves the track of righteousness He has set out and hates unrighteousness.
“Certainly the boundaries set by the lips of the priest is to keep a hedge of protection around knowledge, searching out the Torah with His mouth because he is the messenger of YHWH of armies” – Malachi 2:7, P4T
Righteousness comes with Elohim’s favor
“Blessed are those who guard right-ruling, who do righteousness at all times!” – Psalm 106:3, ISR98
“Do not fret because of evildoers, do not be envious of the workers of unrighteousness. For they soon wither like grass, and fade like green plants. Trust in YHWH, and do good; dwell in the earth, and feed on steadfastness. And delight yourself in YHWH, and let Him give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:1-4, ISR98
Righteousness is who Elohim is
“For YHWH is righteous and loves righteousness. The righteous will see His face.” – Psalm 11:7, P4T
“Therefore, YHWH will favor you. Surely he who waits will be exalted and be loved, because YHWH is an Elohim of righteousness. Happy are all that wait.“ – Isaiah 30:18, P4T
“YHWH’s Words are pure commandments, silver refined in the crucible of the land, clarified seven times.” – Psalm 12:6, P4T
YHWH wants more righteousness on the earth
“And let right-ruling roll on like water, and righteousness like a mighty stream.” – Amos 5:24, ISR98
“Do not love the decoration of the world, nor that which is in the world. When any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Because all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the desires of the world. But the one agreeing with Will of Elohim endures into the eternal.” – 1 John 2:15-17, P4T
YHWH wants us to live in righteousness
“He showed man what is best. What does YHWH require of you, but to exercise righteousness, to be a friend of His loving-kindness, to walk humbly with Elohim? “ – Micah 6:8, P4T
“So have no fellowship with the fruitless works of darkness. Even more so, tell a fault. For it is shameful, indeed to boast of what is done by them in secret.” – Ephesians 5:11, P4T
“But you are kin of election, kingly priests set apart as a people, as purchased possessions a people that declare the valor of the One that calls you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” – 1 Peter 2:9, P4T
Righteousness is demonstrated through love and compassion
“In the same way our joined love is completed, in order that we possess outspokenness in the day of judgment, in that just as He is, so are we in this world. No fear is in complete love, that is complete love throws out fear in that fear holds torment and to be frightened is not to be completed in love. We love Him in that He loved us in the beginning. When someone has claimed to love Elohim and hates his brother, this one is a liar because anyone not loving a brother that is physically seen, how much is one able to love Elohim that is not physically seen? But this command we possess from Him, that the one loving Elohim must also love his brother.” – 1 John 4:17-21, P4T
“I exhort you truly brothers, through the compassion of Elohim, provide your bodies a living sacrifice, set apart, in full agreement to Elohim, your reasonable service. So do not be conformed to the age, but to the contrary, transformed in the renewing of your mind. You must test what is beneficial, even fully agreeable and complete to the Will of Elohim.” – Romans 12:1-2, P4T
YHWH wants us to seek and demonstrate righteousness, even for the vulnerable
“Learn favor, seek judgment. Pursue the ruling of righteousness, make straight the oppressor. Contend for the orphan, strive for the widow.” – Isaiah 1:17. P4T
YHWH wants us to stand up for righteousness regardless of what others do
“Seeing that you understood Him and were taught in Him according to truth that is in Yahshua, you cast off the manner of the previous behavior of the old man, the corruption according to the desires of delusion. Also, you renewed the spirit of your understanding and clothed yourself with the regenerated man according to Elohim, fashioned in righteousness and truly set apart.” – Ephesians 4:21-24, P4T
“Listen attentively, certainly regarding the arrangement of higher matters regarding rulers and men. The utterance of my lips is what is upright. Certainly my mouth speaks truth in righteousness. Wickedness is a disgusting thing to my lips.” – Proverbs 8:6-7, P4T
Upholding His righteousness is an essential part of being a good steward with what He has given us
“Follow righteousness, righteousness alone, so that you live and inherit the land which YHWH your Elohim is giving you.” – Deuteronomy 16:20, ISR98
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness? Now what partnership has light with darkness? ” – 2 Corinthians 6:14. P4T
Elohim commands His people to uphold righteousness
“Enter in through the narrow gate. Because wide is the gate and spacious the road, put to death through destruction, and many, by their reason, agree to enter. For narrow is the gate and troublesome is the road, the one that leads to life, and few agree to obtain it.“ – Matthew 7:13-14, P4T
“This relationship of trust is being established and continued through living water of the Ruach and shed blood of Yahshua Messiah. The Ruach is carried in each disciple through divine revelation. That the Ruach is truth, because They are Three that testify: the Ruach, and living water, and the shed blood. The Three are One and the same.” – 1 John 5:6-8, P4T
Yahshua hears our cries for righteousness and promises to bring righteousness
“And shall Elohim not do right by all means to His own chosen ones who are crying out day and night to Him, and being patient over them? I say to you that He shall do right to them speedily. But when the Son of Aḏam comes, shall He find the belief on the earth?” – Luke 18:7-8, ISR98
“I do not pray that they are taken up from out of the world, but that they are protected from the wicked. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Set them apart through Your truth. Your Word is truth. As You set Me apart against the world, I set them apart against the world. And on their behalf I set Myself apart, so that they could also be set apart, given wholly to truth.” – John 17:15-19, P4T
“Everyone trusting that Yahshua is the Messiah is regenerated by Elohim. So everyone loving is regenerated through Him, regenerated through love, and in this know that the children of Elohim love whenever we love Elohim and guard His commands. Then this is the love of Elohim, that we guard His commands, then His commands are not burdensome, because everyone regenerated by Elohim conquers the world. Even this is the victory conquering the world: our belief through trust. Who is conquering the world except through believing that Yahshua is the Son of Elohim?“ – 1 John 5:1-5, P4T
“Then this is the witness, that Elohim offered to us everlasting life, and the same life is in His own Son. Anyone possessing the Son possesses life. Anyone not possessing the Son of Elohim does not possess life. I have written this to you believers on the Authority of the Son of Elohim with the purpose that you know you possess everlasting life, and that you believe on the Authority of the Son of Elohim. Then this is the outspokenness we possess in Him, because when asked anything according to His own purpose, He hears us.” – 1 John 5:11-14, P4T
Let’s face the truth. YHWH’s people seek to establish the Way of righteousness in personal life and in relationship with others. Nations of the world may pretend to do so at times, but they do not represent the righteousness of ‘God.’ The nations have fashioned their own ‘god of fortresses’ and applied it to themselves, which is idolatry against YHWH Elohim and the teaching of Yahshua [Jesus]. Other organizations may have done or are actively involved in the same kind of idolatry, as they worship the power of money, drunk with authority that influence brings them. (Matthew 13:43, 25:13-31; Daniel 11:38-39; “Your Master & Your Obedience”; “YHWH’s Track of Righteousness”; “YHWH: The Choice to Stay Loyal”; “Filling Your Life with Truth Instead of Deception“)
Yahshua will establish His righteousness on earth
“See, My Servant whom I uphold, My Chosen One My being has delighted in! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He brings forth right-ruling to the nations. He does not cry out, nor lifts up His voice, nor causes His voice to be heard in the street. A crushed reed He does not break, and smoking flax He does not quench. He brings forth right-ruling in accordance with truth. He does not become weak or crushed, until He has established right-ruling in the earth. And the coastlands wait for His Torah.” – Isaiah 42:1-4, ISR98
“’Then wait,’ says YHWH, ‘for the day that I stand up to the plunder and spoils of robbery. Certainly, My judgment is to gather the nations, assemble dominions, to pour out the overflow of My anger, all of the face of My fury. Certainly all the lands are to be consumed with flames of My passion. Certainly, in that case, I will turn back to the people to prove their lips. All those that proclaim the reputation of the Name of YHWH serve in one frame of strength.’” – Zephaniah 3:8-9, P4T
Living in His righteousness, expressing love to others, and walking in humility, is not an easy Way of Life, but it is the only Way of Life through Yahshua the Messiah. As each of us applies Elohim’s heart of righteousness, we will change for the better, bringing more of His Sovereignty to earth now and into the future, as His people wait for Him to take His final action over this earthly system of governance.
“For the servant of the Master must not quarrel, but be kind towards all, teachable, patient, in humility teaching those that oppose you, whether or not Elohim gives them repentance, to acknowledge the truth. So that they may regain their senses, from out of the snare of the devil, made captive by him to do his will. These know now, that in the last days, difficult times will come. Because men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boaters, proud, disobedient to parents, thankless, unrighteous, unloving, without agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, haters of righteousness, betrayers, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Elohim; possessing a formula for rightness, but contradicting the power of it. Avoid these, because these agree to sneak into houses, captivating foolish women loaded with sins, lead away with various desires, always learning and never able to be set to the discernment of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:24-3:7, P4T
Certainly, this is a tough message for some to consider because living the controversy is so real and present in this world now. All of this is so prevalent, you could easily decide to dismiss the boisterous confusion of the world as ‘normal’ – even accepting fully their ‘new normal.’ But remember, for the unrighteous, anything goes. Expect a perfect solution. Expect a cure. Expect a vaccine to bring your old life back. Expect global unity through peace. The world is full of substitute messages that seek your admiration. (Revelation 13:1-18) What judgments you make are usually based on who or what you are listening to, what you truly believe. Do your daily judgments repent or turn back to righteousness, or is that on your mind when you make choices in life? YHWH’s track of righteousness is firmly established. This righteousness is what He desires for you. Disciples of the Messiah are to set themselves apart from the confusion of the world, being set apart to YHWH through the vital message of their Savior and their Counselor, the Holy Spirit [Dedicated, Set Apart Spirit]. The wisdom of your Heavenly Father is essential to surviving into Elohim’s Sovereign Rule. (John 15:19; 17:15-18; Romans 12:1-2; James 1:5; 1 Peter 2:1-25; Colossians 3:10; “Being Set Apart Makes You Aware of Sin“; “Understanding Sin“; “Scriptures – Qodesh, Being Set Apart“)
