The Beginning of Life Renewal

One day Satan came to Yahshua [Jesus] with a direct face-to-face attack. Yahshua [Jesus] had been fasting in the wilderness for 40 days, no small feat of endurance even for the Son of Elohim [‘God’, YHWH]. Satan showed Yahshua [Jesus] “all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.” “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” (Matthew 4:8,9) In other words, “You can have all the money, power and sex that there is.” The Messiah refused to focus on what Satan brought to His attention. Instead, Yahshua [Jesus] focused on the Word of YHWH. He quoted Deuteronomy 10:20, “You shall worship YHWH your Elohim and serve Him alone.” Rejecting those false authorities of money, power and sex is a good start, but more is required for success with Elohim. You must actually replace the gods that have reigned supreme in your life with the worship of your Heavenly Father. (“The Idolatry Factor“; “Video: What is Idolatry?“; “Breaking Strongholds of False Authority“)

When you remove false gods from your life as the Bible says, you leave a vacuum in your life that must be filled with something. Christianity often misses this reality. Satan and the world will try to help you fill that vacuum with anything possible: something new, scintillating and different. In order to keep the influence of Satan and the corruption of the world out of your life, you must replace the corrupt influences of the world with the purity of YHWH and His Word, by the continual renewing of your mind and heart through the Holy Spirit [Sanctified, Set Apart Spirit]. (“The Plight of the Strong Man“; “Strongholds & the Armor of YHWH“; “Agape: Discipleship is Renewal“)

Back in the 1960’s, the flower power generation changed America forever. Whether you agree with the flower children or not, many of them rejected the notion that materialism was a god. Why did these folks fail to make permanent change in the world? They forgot one simple thing. When they removed the god they had, they failed to replace that god of materialism with something of greater value or they replaced the god of materialism with the god of sexual addiction or something else again. In the end, one way or the other, the flower power generation exchanged one form of selfishness for another form of selfishness. This is the essence of what most of mankind does, over and over again. You simply exchange one form of your own personal god for another. (“Living in an Apostate World“; “Becoming Your Own God Through General Goodness?“)

The apostle Paul said “I call upon you, therefore, brothers, through the compassion of Elohim, to present your bodies a living offering – set-apart, well-pleasing to Elohim – your reasonable worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim.” (Romans 12:1-2) The Greek word that Paul uses is ‘teleios’, which does not mean what Western thinking considers as perfect or refined through the cruel ravages of perfectionism. The perfectionism and driven behaviors that are commonly lived out in Western culture are simply driven human behaviors that emanate from the fallout of the imperfect human condition known as the broken heart. Driven human effort will not garner the kind of mind renewal that Scripture actually points to. The willingness to be set apart, to submit to an accurate understanding of the Word, combined with submission to the Holy Spirit must be the heart motivation of disciples. ‘Teleious’ means to be complete or mature. The Bible makes the point that the continual renewal of the mind with Bible principles through love will result in spiritual maturity or a measure of completeness and maturity of the new man of Messiah. This is not the attempt to be perfect through behaviors and motivations of the flesh. This renewal of the mind, the washing of the water through the Word, is not an event, but instead a process of life brought about through the Holy Spirit. (“Renewing Your Mind“; “Spiritual Fruit & Renewing Your Mind“; “Breakthrough Prayer: Driven Behavior & Perfectionism“; “What Is Washing By The Word?“)

In line with Paul’s statement in Romans, proving the Will of YHWH means something. To prove the Will of YHWH, you cannot be indifferent or uncaring about His Will. Instead, you must make it a part of your life. You must be set apart to Him, just as His Spirit is. This is possible only when you are transformed by the renewing of your mind. The very first step to the renewal of your mind and heart is putting away false gods in your life and keeping them out of your mind and heart (“Refining Your Heart“; “YHWH’s Track of Righteousness“; “How YHWH Marks His People“; “The Antichrist & the War on Reality“)

“For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, RNKJV
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your glory. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. Amen.
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
