Muslim legend and stories borrow from elements and imagery of the Bible, including the book of Revelation. The latest elected President of the United States has Muslim roots, although he claims to be a Christian like much of America. The symbology of his name in Muslim legend and teaching is quite interesting. Muslim legend has it that on the night of 27 Rajab, the prophet Mohammed traveled to the Aqsa Mosque on the back of a ‘heavenly beast’ called the boraq or al-buraq. Afterwards, the prophet is said to have ascended to heaven, where he encountered angels, previous prophets and a vision of paradise and hell. The boraq indicates lightening or shining (from the Arabic word Barq, lightening, or Baraqa, to shine), supposedly in reference either to the light it emits or the speed at which it travels. This boraq is also attributed to Abraham by some Muslim sources.
It is described as a winged beast and sometimes said to be the horse of the Archangel Gabriel. According to tradition, it is smaller than a mule but bigger than a donkey, with a human face, big eyes, and small ears. Its neck is said to be made of ambergris (black and burning like whale fat) and its ears and shoulders of white pearl (or aquamarine) showing status. Its cheeks are described as resembling those of a horse.
The boraq is said to have four legs. Its crest is said to be made of moist pearl weaved with gems and coral. Its shoulders are described as made of rubies and its eyes shine like the stars. It emits a ray of light as bright as the sun, and is very white. Its legs are said to be made of gold. Its chest, covered with gems, and shines like the stars of heaven. Its tail is studded with green emeralds, and its wings resemble those of an eagle’s. Its forelock is described as being bright as the moon and smells of incense. It breathes like a human and its udders are covered with gold.
The Israa and Miaraj* is considered a major religious event during which some Muslims fast during the day and then engage in religious rituals combined with Qu’ran reading. Usually, a banquet of meat (zafar) is prepared for this special night. In the Sharqia governorate, the event is celebrated on the night of 27 Rajab, following the evening prayers. Worshipers gather in a mosque and a sheikh recites verses from the Qu’ran, especially those mentioning the Israa and Miaraj miracle. The sheikh then recounts the story of the Israa and Miaraj to the audience. Gifts are usually exchanged on this occasion. Parents send meat, fowl, fruit and vegetables to married children in a gesture of kinship (silat rahem).
There is also a ‘shining one’ in scripture that few know about. Genesis 3:1 tells us that Satan was more cunning than any living creature. Most Bible translators translate the Hebrew nachach as ‘serpent,’ although in the Genesis account, nachach is more appropriately revealed as ‘shining’ or ‘the shining one.’ (see also Ezekiel 28:15) This shining creature was clearly not an animal of a lower order that Adam had named, but ‘an angel of light.’ This angel of light slyly reasoned with Eve, selling her the pleasant qualities of the fruit from the forbidden tree of the garden and what it would do for her. The ‘shining one’ made sin look inviting, costing mankind dearly. (“Adam, Eve & the Shining One“; “Knowledge of Good & Evil“; “The Reality of the Antichrist“; “What is Evil? The Jealousy of Nations & Skeptics“)
Translators and religious leaders have upheld the ‘shining one’ of Isaiah 14:12 as Satan, which started as a mistranslation in the Codex Vaticanus. Instead, in translation the verse would read something like this:
“How you have fallen from out of the heavens! Howl, son of the dawn! You are cut off to the land, prostrated by nations.” – Isaiah 14:12, direct translation
The king of Babylon was cut off in that day as Babylon the Great will be cut off in this day. (Isaiah 14:12-27) The word (H1966; heylel) that is mistranslated as Lucifer is correctly translated as howl. Heylel or hilal is also the Muslim crescent moon which is still in use today. Evidence supports the idea that Allah is actually the ancient moon god Sin. Many have made themselves ‘angels of light’ or ‘shining ones’ that support counterfeit, substitute – antichrist viewpoints. (Matthew 7:13-14; John 3:16, 14:6; Acts 4:12) How far the Babylon of this modern world, the heavens of the governmental world of man, has to fall in the near future. (“The Antichrist & the War on Reality“)
In the same line of thinking, many have claimed that Barack Obama is tied into Bible prophecy. He has family ties to Persian and European roots and is named after the beast that Islamic legend ties into a spiritual vision. His name also has ties in the original scriptural language within the garden of Eden as an ‘angel of light.’ This angel of light is Satan, firmly behind the antichrist agents of this age.
Barack Obama, like other world leaders, is tied directly into the antichrist Beast organizations of man that Revelation 13 and 18 tell us about. This Beast seeks to become the ‘Shining One’ in the lives of all that wonder and follow after it, leading multitudes of ‘nominal’ and ‘carnal’ Christians as part of YHWH’s judgment work. The world worships the authority of the Beast. The judgment of YHWH is based on decisions of faith and lifestyle on the part of each individual. That is why getting real Bible truth out to the world is so important.
