As Christians, many of us are confident that as a rule, we can do as we please because of Elohim’s [‘God’] great mercy, coupled with His intense desire to save mankind. Others prefer to believe that if they think it, that their Heavenly Father gave them every thought they have. The crisis in faith goes much deeper. Even in much of professed Christianity, YHWH isn’t worshiped using His name. The truth is that He probably isn’t being worshiped at all. Quite often, through the error or fear of teachers, Christians don’t even really know His name, much less His qualities and love. That is a sad state of affairs for billions that profess to love Him. Even when ‘God’ is on the tongues of many, YHWH, Elohim of Hosts isn’t in the heart in myriads of Christians including a majority of Christian leaders. (“Christianity: A Crisis in Prayer & Spirit“; “Leadership & Highly Effective People“; “Trust YHWH, Not World Leaders“)
Not surprisingly, history does tend to repeat itself, as the Bible never fails to illustrate. In 2 Kings 1, the son of Ahab, Ahaziah fell through a latticework and severely injured himself. Instead of looking to the ‘professed God’ of Israel, King Ahaziah sought after Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron for his healing and survival. An angel instructed Elijah to intervene and meet the messengers of the king on the way to visit Ekron. Elijah met them on the road and told the king’s messengers that King Ahaziah would surely die and bid them to return to their king with the message from YHWH. (“Life Healing and Belief“; “Roots of Salvation“; “Consenting to Fables of Men“)
As you would probably expect, King Ahaziah sought to do things his own way along with trying to intimidate Elijah. The king was persistent. Two bands of fifty men were sent to Elijah and because of their attitude and demanding demeanor, Elijah called fire from heaven on them and they were destroyed. The third captain sent by the king fell on his knees before Elijah and asked that he spare the lives of his men. Elijah did what YHWH said and returned with the third band of men to deliver YHWH’s personal edict to the king. Because the king had failed to seek after the One and only true Elohim, he must die. “Is it because there is not an Elohim in Israel to inquire” that they were somehow forced to consult another god? (2 Kings 1:16; “666 – Chi Xi Stigma“; “The Idolatry Factor“) Many soldiers of the king died as well because of the kings hard-hearted willfulness.
Are Christians any different today? Time and time again, history continues to repeat itself through both the Jews and now professed Christians as they knowingly and willingly reject the Elohim [‘God’] that they often give lip service. Today, we have a nation, even a sizable portion of the world, that claims either God, Christ or both. Without question, most of the people in this ‘Christian nation’ that profess the Messiah know little or nothing about Him, seeking other priorities which become idols combined with a lifestyle of mammon. We have many gods as a nation. How many gods do you serve? Many of us have set up ‘self’ as our own personal god while we give lip service to the Most High…or perhaps multitudes don’t even bother to do that as they seek only self-interest in the Name of Yahshua [Jesus] Messiah and demand salvation in the name of humanity. (“Millenniums of Human Exploitation“; “Foundation of Salvation“; “The Antichrist & the War on Reality“)
YHWH isn’t fooled. He knows that few are truly set apart to Him in righteousness and grounded in His love. He knows hearts and wants to heal yours. He loves obedience and doesn’t demand perfection. Elohim of Hosts only seeks your loyalty as you seek to serve Him. Will you seek YHWH or serve other gods, continually sliding and falling back, even actively loving and participating in a lifestyle of mammon? The choice is yours (Deuteronomy 30:19), but scripture is clear that you cannot serve two masters. Since only two kingdoms reside on this earth, a choice is necessary that can and must resound into the depths of your heart. (Matthew 6:24) Why? The reality is that your heart issue is all about love and how badly your heart is broken. YHWH wants to help you to heal your life issues, your broken heart and be close to you as you receive His healing and love. Will you pursue Him or continue to pursue other gods as a result of your broken heart condition in the pursuit of worldly happiness? (“The Miracle of the New Man“; “YHWH’s Revolution“)
