Seductive Persuasion Breaks a Good Man

by John and Ruth Greene

In the Bible, King Solomon is often seen as one of the wisest of men. As Solomon ascended the throne, King David charged him to obey YHWH’s laws and to walk “in His ways”. (1 Kings 2:3) Solomon humbly asked for discernment, which made him fabulously wealthy and successful. Unhappily, Solomon’s reign resulted in great personal failure because he took many pagan wives and concubines who gradually persuaded him, turning his heart away from YHWH to their gods. (1 Kings 11:1-4)

Babylon-the-GreatIn much the same way, Samson is a horrendous example of personal failure on many levels. In this case, Samson was very headstrong, spoiled and proud. For a judge of Israel, he made himself easy bait for the opposition as he caroused with the enemy. He abandoned his wife and roamed about. He was thoroughly taken by a pretty face, a spirit of Delilah, that ultimately resulted in his personal destruction. A life mixed with adultery, divorce, personal separation and trial mirrors closely that of many people in the world today. Even so, the Bible shows that YHWH is able to use such matters to magnify His Kingdom, taking the worst of humanity and turning the end result into something beneficial for someone for the cause of His righteousness. (“Defining Love“; “YHWH: The Choice to Stay Loyal“; “Prospering Your Family“)

In both cases and in many more, a spirit of Delilah consistently persuades men (and women) against their better judgment. It deceives and flatters to gain the upper hand of control. It seduces. “Delilahs” the world over have summarily destroyed and wreaked havoc through the ages. Today, this conduct is virtually unchecked, even approved. In our modern age, most have grown to see such conduct as wholly natural even though it destroys the very fabric of our society. We are so comfortable with this lifestyle in the United States, we advertise and watch television that endorses the spirit of Delilah as a good thing, just a mark of humanity that must be accepted. (Proverbs 6:17-19, 23-27, 32, 7:5-27; “How YHWH Marks His People“; “Divorce: Modern Family & the Authority of Law“)

violence-gang-drugsThe government completely endorses taking care of “the innocent”, including the Delilahs that destroy their own lives and the lives of their children. They are encouraged to be independent in spirit and dependent on the government. The hapless children often roam the streets to create the television they see in real life. The carnage in families is appalling as otherwise good men are destroyed and placed in permanent bondage to a system of false weights and measures. The law takes precedence as it pretends to build up families while summarily destroying them. Even our ‘noble government’ has become just another Delilah, even a Jezebel, subject to the will of the spirit that drives it behind the scenes. (“Romantic Attachments: Sin & Righteousness“; “Deception: The Plague of Love Detachment“)

bible-reader-internetWhat is a ‘good man’ to do? (1 Corinthians 7) The Apostle Paul said that those who marry will have affliction in the flesh. Over and over, this has proved true, especially in the age of the computer. Today, with every sort of behavior condoned by society, relationship has become destructive captivity. Sex and relationship has become a trap that is used to empower and destroy all that your Heavenly Father designed as righteous and beneficial. (Ecclesiastes 7:26-29) These traps of the devil and his agents are the fruit of the dark kingdom, not the Kingdom of Elohim [‘God’]. In the dark kingdom, there is no difference between marriage or any kind of relationship. The result is the same. In the words of Yahshua [Jesus], the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10-11) while most of mankind blesses his efforts for their own selfish benefit. (“Family vs. Government: The Disagreement About Parenting“; “Leadership & Highly Effective People“; “The Struggle of Kingdoms Involves You“)

“You were bought with a price, do not become slaves of men.  Brothers, let each one remain with Elohim in that calling in which he was called.” – 1 Corinthians 7:23-24, ISR98

The Apostle Paul gives some good advice. (1 Corinthians 7:17) We should seek to hold our station in life and do YHWH’s Will instead of being jealous of the world and its appearances. This means that a disciple does not emphasize acquisition of things, carelessly seeking “intimate” relationships  or climbing the corporate ladder. The words of Yahshua [Jesus] give us special notice:

“Then do not be anxious, saying, ‘What may we eat?’ Or, ‘what may we drink?’ Or, ‘what may clothe us?’ For after all these things the nations seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first the kingdom of YAHWEH and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Then do not be anxious for tomorrow. For the morrow will be anxious of itself. Sufficient to each day is its own trouble.” – Matthew 6:31-34, HRB

stressHow many men have had their personal focus wholly on wife, children, things, jobs and status and lost it all in the dark kingdom through the collusion of dark forces that seek to kill and destroy? How much worse off would these men be if they had listened to the words of Yahshua [Jesus], to the instruction of Elohim’s righteousness? If a man steadfastly refuses to listen to the spirit of Delilah, a voice motivated against the Kingdom of YHWH, he would be far better off  if he lost his temporary status in the dark kingdom. One thing that this world has taught many is this: “many things come and go in life.”  The Word of scripture and the Holy Spirit [Sanctified, Set Apart Spirit] is here always and has real power if you are willing to live them. Do you believe it? (“Are You a Christian First or Last?“; “Family Stress Affects Generations“)

“For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, RNKJV
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your glory. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. Amen.
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
