The ‘God’ of the Bible, YHWH Elohim, has been misrepresented. Satan, through the traditions of man and deceptions has distorted the face of YHWH through religious philosophy and lies. The extent that mankind has been complicit, even transcending the desire of Satan to corrupt belief in truth and true righteousness has resulted in a philosophy of argument and confusion. This is troubling to the seeker of Biblical truth. If it isn’t, perhaps there is an underlying reason you need to explore personally.
Instead of Christianity being represented as truly righteous and loyal – the real truth of the Way, Christian lifestyle and faith in most lands has been thoroughly tainted because people refuse to make YHWH’s righteousness their own. Instead, professed Christians depend totally on others for personal spiritual instruction. They are spoon-fed sermons about methods of punitive justice that men have dreamed up. Preachers often teach this justice as ‘God’s justice.’ On the other side of Christianity, you have a large number of people that couldn’t be troubled to crack a Bible. They aren’t interested enough to understand what it means for them by studying and understanding it for themselves. They don’t seek or apply what they learn. Instead, they are distracted and lose focus of what relationship with their Heavenly Father means. Let’s put this another way, most Christians believe in the old paganism model where you approach the altar and beg for forgiveness for fear that lightning will strike you down. It could also be milder and less threatening than this, but still based on the whims and experiences of other men and what they teach – sort of like offering a pinch of incense to the emperor. That’s the extent of the relationship, all very one-way and always girded with fear or suspicion. This is not a healthy or productive way to live.
This is because of spiritual corruption – the lust for power and control by philosophy have substituted and encompassed mainstream efforts of ‘Christianity.’ Lies and contrivances have been passed down from generation to generation, penetrating all levels of life and understanding. The kings and rulers of the world are generally quite happy with the justice of professed Christianity because this is the same kind of political dogma they preach. In some cases, these kind of rulers have made their own marks by taking ownership of ‘Christianity’ in their realm. Some rulers have even dictated how the translation of scripture was handled. Does this sound beneficial? If so, to whom?
YHWH’s people, the comparatively few that follow Messiah through the narrow gate in Matthew 7, actively know and seek YHWH’s protection instead of being consumed with the idea of His divine punishment. YHWH’s people live from day to day with the accurate foundation and knowledge of His Word as they realize His protection and favor. While living life from day to day, true disciples prefer the reality of Elohim’s favor in His righteousness rather than worrying about some kind of eternal punishment. This kind of relationship is more personal and intimate between the disciple and the Father through Yahshua [Jesus] and the Holy Spirit [Sanctified, Set Apart Spirit]. Yet, some may not have the idea of relationship quite right because of being so broken and bruised. Some disciples are seeking how to develop a two-way relationship even though they don’t entirely understand how this works. But understand this, any relationship is a work in progress, especially for imperfect people like you and me. Yet, for the true disciple of the Messiah, being separated from YHWH is unthinkable and unacceptable. This is about love, not about fear or the reprisals of justice.
In the grand scheme of Biblical prophecy, wrath refers to the end result of complete, final and total separation from Elohim for eternity as Satan, demonic strongholds and untold numbers of mankind are destroyed forever in the second death of Revelation. (Revelation 2:11; 20:6, 14, 15; “The Idolatry Factor“; “Consenting to Fables of Men“)
Those that are forever set apart are cut off from the Father eternally. Psalm 37:9 reminds the reader that evildoers will be cut off, but those that wait on Him will inherit the earth. The Biblical theme is consistent in that the wicked will perish. (Psalm 37:10, 20, 35, 36) YHWH takes no pleasure in the destruction in the wicked, but that class of destruction is unavoidable for them. (Ezekiel 33:11; 2 Peter 2:9) With that in mind, destruction is what happens to those that don’t follow Messiah as the Way to YHWH’s Kingdom.
Many professed Christians hold to the idea that all will be saved, regardless of character. To them, their ‘God’ has no backbone as He allows all sorts of evils and strongholds unabated into His Kingdom. YHWH is not required to make place for those that desire self-serving behaviors and destructive attitudes in His Kingdom of peace, security and harmony. (Matthew 7:13)
Rebellion to YHWH against the principles of His government results in the inevitable “Day of Judgment”, ultimately resulting in the “Second Death” which is total destruction and erasure from YHWH’s memory for all time. This Second Death applies to anyone that is not written in the book of life. It’s not about eternal fire and violence as so many teach, but about being destroyed because no other option exists and that this has been proved to Elohim’s satisfaction. The dead and destroyed don’t burn forever, they are gone forever. I will repeat this again in a moment. (Revelation 20:14,15)
The consistent Biblical theme is that the wicked will be no more. (Psalm 37:9, 10) Psalm 37:20 illustrates the situation of the evil perfectly, as the sacrificial offering on the altar of YHWH that is consumed away with fire. (Psalm 59:13; 92:7; Obadiah 16; Isaiah 1:28, Malachi 4:1) Elohim preserves those that love Him. (Psalm 145:20) This is an individual track of righteousness that each disciple must walk in rather than a group activity sanctioned by a priestly class.
The Biblical theme is that the wicked are destroyed forever. The lost are ruined completely, demolished and pass from existence. The wicked will be erased or dissolved from the scene of life. (Revelation 20:9, 15; Psalm 75:3; 2 Peter 3:10,11,13; Psalm 21:9) The end of this will be total alienation from YHWH in death and complete destruction forever. (Ezekiel 18:4; Romans 6:23; Psalm 92:7)
The graphic vision of fire has captured the imagination of religion around the world. Multitudes of Christians are firmly convinced through teaching brought down from the Roman Catholic Church, thoroughly mixed with paganism, that the wicked will burn consciously forever as the same Bible gives accurate information on the condition of the dead. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10; Psalm 146:4; John 11:11-14; Acts 7:60; 1 Corinthians 15:6; 2 Corinthians 5:6-8, Philippians 1:21, 23) The dead reside with Elohim, awaiting judgment – period. In the meantime, Elohim has all of us in His hand.
Fire is projected upon the wicked as “eternal fire,” an event fixed for the future. In 2 Peter 2:6 and Jude 7, the wicked suffer the vengeance of YHWH. Eternal fire is described as destruction. The eternal judgment is dedicated to the wicked, consuming the wicked like a sacrificial offering on an altar. Eternal fire is final and conclusive, but not an everlasting burning fire that most have learned about at some time in their lives. (Nahum 1:9)
Elohim’s wrath is reserved for a future time after judgment as shown in Revelation 20:4-9. He isn’t obsessed with judgment. It’s simply a decision that will come based on the trust [the spiritual fruit] of individual people and where personal trust is placed. The eternal fire hasn’t started yet, nor is the lake of fire burning now. 2 Peter says that the heavens and earth are kept in store and reserved for the Day of Judgment and destruction of unrighteous men. Ultimately, the Second Death will be reality based on accurate trust, life conduct and whether each disciple is part of YHWH’s Book of Life. Being a disciple is a personal walk. YHWH is not willing that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9) If it is possible, if you are open to His Word and teaching, Elohim desires to save you. Yahshua [Jesus] is the Way. Peter points to a new heavens and a new earth of righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13) That is what disciples have to look forward to. Don’t be deceived or diverted. Be loyal and cling to YHWH because He loves you. (Ephesians 5) Stand fast in the Father and His Son, territory that Elohim has already won for you in victory. Don’t be defeated by Satan and his agents. (“The Secret of Sanctified Disciples“; “The Empire Under the Beast“; “The Antichrist & the War on Reality“; “Building a Counterfeit Kingdom“)
