Disciple: Remember Diligence through Trust

by John Greene

“For I say, through the favor which has been given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he should think, but to think soberly, as Elohim [‘God’] has given to each a measure of belief.” – Romans 12:3, ISR98

Your Heavenly Father has already given each person a measure of ‘faith.’ Faith is the willingness to believe. Belief is personal trust. Scripture calls every living human to diligently add to that. (“Understanding Sin“; “Choosing to Serve YHWH, Not Man“)

“But also in this very thing, having brought in all diligence, having fully supplied in your faith virtue, and with virtue knowledge, and with the knowledge self-control, and with the self-control patience, and with the patience holiness, and with the holiness brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness, love. For these things being in you, and abounding, they will make you never to be useless or unfruitful in the full knowledge of our Master Yahshua [Jesus] Messiah.” – 2 Peter 1:5-8, HRB

There are plenty words that may not have a clear meaning for you. So consider this translation:

“And for this reason do your utmost to add to your belief uprightness, to uprightness knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control endurance, to endurance reverence,  to reverence brotherly affection, and to brotherly affection love. For if these are in you and increase, they cause you to be neither inactive nor without fruit in the knowledge of our Master Yahshua [Jesus] Messiah. ” – 2 Peter 1:5-8, ISR98

bible-trust-YHWH-1In the beginning, your Heavenly Father doesn’t expect a complete understanding. He does expect what you know, your belief, to be based in accurate understanding through seeking Him in scripture and the Holy Spirit [Sanctified, Set Apart Spirit]. He wants you to be set apart to Him. Through earnest diligence, your belief matures, growing into righteousness, YHWH’s standard of righteousness. One of the original patriarchs of trust was Abraham, justified or sanctified through his belief. (Romans 4:1-25; “The Secret of Sanctified Disciples“)

“For what does the Scripture say? ‘And Abraham believed YAHWEH, and it was counted to him for righteousness.'” – Romans 4:3, HRB – (Genesis 15:6)

This isn’t simply a passive second-hand understanding that you get by listening to others, as if you are listening to rumors or fiction of the world. You own your trust — personally. It is part of you. More importantly, this trust doesn’t come to you as a one-time event, but involves your course of life, your personal journey. This journey is one of test and trial, at least on some level. Don’t be afraid to acknowledge your mistakes or your trials. What you believe and who you trust bears very real fruit in your life. If you don’t believe it, you aren’t doing it. Think about it. Don’t be dishonest. Your lifestyle says it all. If you aren’t being honest, you’re only kidding yourself. (“Discernment the World Doesn’t Have“; “Discernment: Having an Ear to Deeper Understanding“; “Foundation of Salvation“; “Abiding With YHWH in Quiet Places“)

“For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, RNKJV
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your glory. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. Amen.
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
