The Truth About Anger

image001-300x233“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.” – Matthew 5:21-22, NKJV

hardened-heartWithout question, the law of YHWH is that man and woman would not murder. Most Christian religion points out that anyone angry without a cause breaks the sixth commandment. The implications of anger are much more severe than this. Yahshua [Jesus] aptly points out that the attitude of the heart is what counts where YHWH is concerned. The murderer is in danger of eternal separation from YHWH in the Second Death. (Matthew 7:13-21) It is not different for anyone that rises up in anger against another. Even disciples seek to give anger cause and reason, sometimes imagining or feigning injustice. Words of the mouth inflamed by the resentment and anger of the heart threatens to destroy others. These same words endanger the eternal life of anyone that smolders in this resentful passion. The words of the mouth and life motivations are by-products of the heart and the repetitions of the mind. The intent and expression of life is in the heart. The heart that festers with resentment and building anger, ultimately results in murder, either through reputation or in reality. The world culture spends much of its time, for example, idly murdering the reputations of others. The expression of anger, whether quiet and brooding, or loud and violent, easily becomes a lifestyle. Anger is a “natural passion” because mankind has made it so: a stronghold of life rooted in fear. (“The Stronghold of Anger“; “Attitude and the Disciple of Messiah“)

unbrotherly-love-wAnger is similar to murder in that both violate YHWH’s command to love. Bitterness and resentment are stepping stones between anger and murder that seek to entertain all men and women. Seething and brooding are part of spiritual strongholds that threaten to surge out of control, while consuming whatever love and sanctified purpose that is in the heart. Bitterness, resentment and anger lead to vindictive, predatory and controlling behaviors that destroy the holder of the anger as well as damaging others. The stronghold of anger always leads to mental stress, lifestyle strife, emotional pain and avoidance, ultimately resulting in physical violence against others. (Galatians 5:16-21; Revelation 9:21; 22:14-15) All are symptoms of unforgiveness, which effectively block the promises of YHWH that you could otherwise enjoy. This lack of forgiveness is what actually separates you from YHWH. This stronghold threatens to destroy everything you are and could be in the future when you yield your life to it. (“Freedom: The Law of Sin and Death“; “Discernment the World Doesn’t Have“; “Breaking Free from Dirty Rags“)

The Bible discusses self-control, but this self-control is not separated from your mind and mysteriously placed on your body. Yahshua [Jesus] admonishes disciples (that’s you and me!) to build the stronghold of YHWH by practicing “thought control” through healthy thinking, prayer and the help of our Divine Counselor, the Holy Spirit [Sanctified, Set Apart Spirit]. Attitude and mindset matter in the life of any disciple, reflecting your personal relationship with Elohim. (1 John 4:20; “Holy Spirit 101“; “Listening to the Holy Spirit“; “Strongholds & the Armor of YHWH“)

“Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” – Matthew 5:23-24

roman-battlement-smThis is priceless admonition among Elohim’s elect. Broken relationships, especially among the brotherhood of Messiah, are indications of earthly strongholds that destroy. Broken relationships among brothers and sisters in the Messiah, at the very least, put a break in the armor of those that fight the same battle of faith against the fiery darts of the dark kingdom. As a result, they fail to protect one another in brotherly love, allowing footholds for Satan to divide and conquer. A constant attempt by Satan to divide and conquer seeks to create footholds in the marriage of disciples, a holy union where brothers and sisters in Christ easily forget how Satan and the world seek to divide them in their mutual foundation of faith. (Ephesians 5, 6) This same effort is made by Satan within “the church,” the gathering of brothers, the ekklesia. Yahshua [Jesus] recommends quickly resolving all grievances so that your life offerings and relationship with YHWH are not impeded by lack of forgiveness and lack of love. Anger (not to be confused with zeal for the matters of YHWH) is a distraction based in fear, truly is a slippery slope that needs to be avoided. As disciples, we must be cleansed from old ways through the washing of the Word, to live as a new man in Messiah. (“What Is Washing By The Word?“; “Sin & the Law of Liberty“; “Understanding Sin“; “Breaking the Hold of Stress“)

“For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, RNKJV
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your glory. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. Amen.
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
