Living in uncertain times where everyone is working for their own self-interest is likely to set you on the path to worry and anxiety, if you weren’t already there when times were good. This way of thinking is the way of the world. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You may be in danger of losing everything you’ve worked so hard for or that may already be the case, as you wonder what life holds for you. (“Breaking the Hold of Stress“; “Family Stress Affects Generations“; “Trading for the Myth of Peace & Security“)
Worry, it seems is a part of life. At least, that is what the authority of the world tells you. What the world doesn’t know is personal peace that trusting in YHWH brings. Worry, in fact, is directly attached to fear, which is the opposite of faith. Worry is separation and lack of trust in YHWH. (“Overcoming Fear during Tough Times“; “Opposing Fear“; “The Role of Authority in Your Life“)
“Do not fret because of evil-doers,
Do not be envious of the workers of unrighteousness.
For they soon wither like grass,
And fade like green plants.
Trust in YHWH, and do good;
Dwell in the earth, and feed on steadfastness.
And delight yourself in YHWH,
And let Him give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to YHWH,
And trust in Him, and He does it.
And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light,
And your right-ruling as midday.
Rest in YHWH, and wait patiently for Him;
Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way,
Because of the man doing wicked devices.
Abstain from displeasure, and forsake wrath;
Do not fret, also to do evil.” – Psalm 37:1-, ISR98
With all the distraction in the world that we live in, you can easily forget about your Father’s loving advice…no, not advice, but in reality, His command to cleanse your heart from all the spiritual muck that can easily fill your heart and mind, especially when you are focused on the trouble around you. (“The Need to Keep Spiritually Clean“; “YHWH’s Track of Righteousness“; “What Is Washing By The Word?“; “Trust YHWH, Not World Leaders“)
When you entertain His Word and feel threatened or lost, you need to go to Him in prayer. YHWH has answered your prayers already in many ways. He has already promised to take care of the wicked. Ask Him to cleanse your heart and to help your challenged mind to relax with Him., to accept His truth. What Psalm 37:1-8 says is quite impossible when your heart is full of the world and bathed in trouble. The worry and fear separate you from YHWH and His Will. He wants you to trust Him, to abide in His Word, and His Will. Psalm 37:11 says this better than you may know. After reminding His faithful that the wicked will be no more:
“But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.”, NKJV
The “meek” are YHWH’s people that have not followed the advice of the world, those that the world generally scoffs at or considers as less than themselves. The English word “inherit” is a weak word for what the Bible really says. YHWH’s people will grasp, seize, even rob the earth from the wicked as they luxuriate in the abundance and increase of Elohim, and the peace He brings. Does this sound like the world to you? (“Disciple: The Pattern of Your Life“; “Humility: Do You Need It?“)
The fact is that the world is exactly where it is today because of workers of iniquity. These may be people that you used to trust, even with your very life. YHWH doesn’t say that you should get even with them. Trust in Him and feed on His faithfulness by delighting in His Word.
“But seek first the kingdom of YAHWEH and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33, HRB
“The wicked have drawn the sword
And have bent their bow,
To cast down the poor and needy,
To slay those who are of upright conduct.
Their sword shall enter their own heart,
And their bows shall be broken.” – Psalm 37:14-15, NKJV
YHWH says that the weapons that are focused on His people, even in smaller personal matters, will be redirected to the wicked plotters. No weapon formed against you will prosper when you are in His Will! (Isaiah 54:17)
In these times, action is called for. A personal decision is required, a decision to press forward in trust. This isn’t the morality or ethics that most of mankind parades, but YHWH’s track of righteousness. If you continue to follow traditions of men and do not listen to the Word of Elohim, you will be judged accordingly on YHWH’s threshing floor. (Deuteronomy 12:30-32; Matthew 15:3, 8-10; 2 Peter 3:3-4; Acts 13:41; Matthew 24:12-15)
