Most of Christianity has a certain amount of wisdom where Bible prophecy is concerned. Without question, modern disciples must be ready for Messiah’s Return. Scripture says that time will drag along and many will be ill prepared, as in the Parable of the Ten Virgins. (Matthew 25:5) Contextually, the importance of being ready is emphasized by Yahshua [Jesus] at Matthew 24:36-39 as well. (“Wisdom & the Battle of Two Kingdoms“; “Bible: Wisdom 101“)
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” – Matthew 24:36-39, NKJV
The actual end of this age will be sudden and catastrophic for those that haven’t been on the watch. It will be unexpected for them. You are admonished to keep on the watch (Matthew 24:42) even when you are discouraged or even when the world paints events and expectations in a way counter to YHWH’s Word. Nobody else is ‘responsible’ or accountable for your own spiritual growth or condition. (“Spiritual Fruit & Renewing Your Mind“; “Disciples of Messiah and Spiritual Fruit“; “Redeemed Through Obedience & Faith“)
In fact, it is good that nobody knows the day or hour. Why? If you knew the exact day or hour, you would be tempted to be lazy in ministry and testimony for the Messiah. Worse yet, you might plan to keep on sinning and then to turn to the Father in repentance at the very end in ‘a death bed confession’ of sorts. To an imperfect person, knowing the exact time only encourages sloppiness and carelessness, a lack of love for the provision of YHWH. Heaven is not your only goal. You have a work to do. This is not a work of the flesh, but the active working love of your belief, exercised through the Holy Spirit [Sanctified, Set Apart Spirit]. You must keep on doing this work unto death or until you can see the Kingdom of YHWH that will begin in the twinkling of an eye. (“Disciples: Focused on the Messiah & His Purpose“)
“And this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood is unable to inherit the reign of Elohim, neither does corruption inherit incorruption. See, I speak a secret to you: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible has to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality.” – 1 Corinthians 15:50-53, ISR98
Each disciple of the Messiah is a servant of YHWH. Yahshua [Jesus] loves bold servants! How great would it be to share in unity and happiness with Elohim, to be in fellowship with Him? (Matthew 25:21) Where your heart resides is where your treasure is! (Luke 12:34) (see the article “Do You Live a Lifestyle of Greed?“; “Foundation of a Global System of Greed“) Striving after money cuts you off from YHWH and from fulfilling His purposes, even though many Christians might disagree.
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that He will make him ruler over all his goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying His coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for Him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” – Matthew 24:45-51, NKJV
Yahshua [Jesus] is telling His servants to take time for Him. This isn’t about focusing on pleasure, self-serving behaviors or fantasies. Multitudes of professed Christians are doing absolutely nothing outside of attending church services, if they are doing that. False security is always built on calculations and excuses. Just look at the financial meltdown of 2008 and the recovery per the media to see how this works. (“Do You Give Leftovers to Messiah?“; “Culture: Prompting Falsehood Through the Lie“; “Approved: Lie Cheat & Steal“)
Your spiritual growth isn’t about your emotions and curiosity that divert your attentions from doing YHWH’s work. It isn’t about pumping up man’s way of doing things either. Those that aren’t paying attention and actively refocusing their lives for Messiah will be cut in two and given their portion with the hypocrites. (“Woes of the Hypocrites“)
He wants you to spend time of waiting taking care of His people and doing His work here on earth, both within the gathering of Messiah and outside of it. Instead of spending your time working and slaving for material things, disciples have a higher purpose. Life isn’t about slaving for wealth and funneling a small parcel of cash to your pastor, despite what you are being told. Each disciple is expected to be active. Minister among yourselves as a group and encourage one another. Get in His Word and make His truth your own. (“Your Purpose in the Body of Messiah“; “Millenniums of Human Exploitation“; “The Truth About the Tithe“)
Many Christians have become consumed with end times and exactly how events will unfold. They are focused on nations and the order of prophetic fulfillment as they see it. Inaccurate historical records and misinformation can make this difficult. Remember that Satan is the great deceiver. Could you be deceived? What you decide determines your eternal destiny. The fact remains that there will be no opportunity for last minute repentance or bargaining with your Heavenly Father. The choice that you have made will determine your end. Will you be ready? (“Destruction Is Satan’s Intent“; “Spiritual Authority & Satan’s Wheels of Destruction“)
The Bible is not designed to stimulate predictions in an effort to calculate the date of the Second Coming, but to warn everyone to get their spiritual houses in order while they have time. Time is short, certainly shorter than most believe. Just as our ministry was refocused, you may need to refocus your purpose according to the Bible.
Since 2002, alerting the world to the intense need for spiritual growth in Messiah before time runs out has been the sole purpose of Bible Vision.
