Jeremiah had a special call. YHWH had planted His Spirit and His Word in Jeremiah. He would use Jeremiah in a mighty way in His eyes.
“’I knew you before I formed you in the belly; and before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.’ Then I said, ‘Ah, Adonai YAHWEH! Behold, I do not know how to speak for I am a boy.’ But YAHWEH said to me, ‘Do not say, I am a boy; for you shall go to all that I shall send you. And whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you,’ says YAHWEH. Then YAHWEH put out His hand and touched my mouth. And YAHWEH said to me, ‘Behold, I have put My Words in your mouth. Behold, I have today appointed you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to tear down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.’” – Jeremiah 1:5-10, HRB
YHWH chooses those that will listen for special purposes. Jeremiah was to root out strongholds of His nation of people, to pull down perversity, and to plant and build up righteousness. Do you see this today? For example, televangelists and preachers often don’t build up in Bible truth. They use their charisma, charm, clever philosophy and witty stories to entertain and tickle. That is not YHWH’s Way. His plan is to communicate with every people and nation a message of judgment and trust in Him. He works through people that He loves and that love Him in return. (“YHWH’s Threshing Floor“; “Knowing Where You Stand on YHWH’s Threshing Floor“)
It is not enough to learn, and then to preach and teach with conviction. The more you know about the Bible, what it means and how it applies to you and others, the more convincing and heartfelt your words will be. It isn’t about perfection on any level. You are blessed to work with what you know to spread YHWH’s love to others. You seek to know more always to reach more people with YHWH’s love as you allow the Holy Spirit to put words in your mouth. (Isaiah 51:16, 18-21; Ezekiel 36:27; Matthew 3:16; “YHWH’s Track of Righteousness“)
Jeremiah’s vision of the almond branch revealed YHWH’s watchfulness and promise: the beginning of His judgment. (Jeremiah 1:11) The almond tree is among the first to blossom in the spring. YHWH saw the sins of His people and the surrounding nations. Swift and certain judgment was certain because YHWH would turn His face aside from the overwhelming sin. This is because so many of His people had developed a reprobate mind. The spiritual poverty was rampant. They had fallen away from YHWH’s truth without any desire for repentance. (Jeremiah 1:13-15) He allowed Babylon to fulfill the judgment of the nation; a nation full of reprobate minds and hearts hardened against Elohim [‘God’]. (“Understanding Sin“; “Freedom: The Law of Sin and Death“; “Sin & the Law of Liberty“; “The Unpardonable Sin“)
“And I will speak My judgments against them regarding all their evil, those who have forsaken Me and have burned incense to other gods, and have worshiped the works of their hands.” – Jeremiah 1:16, HRB
YHWH knows what is going on and has told his disciples what to do. Even today, we are included in Jeremiah’s message. We also have the benefit of YHWH’s Word, which is now written. Yahshua [Jesus] the Messiah gave His people the commission to carry a message that uses Jeremiah and the prophets as a foundation, extending YHWH’s desire to touch the hearts of the world. YHWH gave Jeremiah a heart for his people. He wants disciples today to have the same heart for those He loves, to eagerly return the love that He has extended. (“Christians: Focused on the Messiah & His Purpose“; “Your Purpose in the Body of Messiah“)
YHWH is watching to see that His Word is fulfilled. Charisma and poetic effect using the ‘authority of God’ doesn’t fulfill that Word by itself. The expressed Word of YHWH holds truth, both sides: judgment and love. His Word isn’t simply cerebral or philosophical. YHWH’s Word requires the Holy Spirit, [Sanctified, Set Apart Spirit] which not only empowers, but informs and teaches His people. This is required because mankind has been corrupted by the sin of Adam. Disciples need the Light of Truth. The Holy Spirit, as well as the Bible, is the expression of that Light. (“Condemnation, Dogs & Hogs“; “Attitude & the Disciple of Messiah“)
Jeremiah’s vision of the almond branch was openly received by him with the idea of fulfilling His Word. YHWH was watching what is being said and done. He does no less today. We don’t need to wait for the Messiah’s Second Coming for judgment in this age. The judgment is happening now based on how each person lives. This is grounded in what each person believes. YHWH sees the falling away because of the lack of real Bible teaching. They don’t hear the Heavenly Father or even honor His Spirit. They hear the useless humanism that spouts from so many ‘teachers of God.’ He sees the falling away because of a lack of love, a lack of love for Him and for others. Those that claim to be ‘God’s people’ are full of strife and confusion. They don’t know the Word and aren’t being taught. They aren’t seeking YHWH either. They may not even know His name or the value of His character. They are lost. (“Heavenly Father Has A Name“; “YHWH’s Revolution“; “Being Set Apart Makes You Aware of Sin“)
Perfection isn’t required. King David is one ancient example. He did plenty of wrong, but always returned in repentance to his Father. Even after lapses of idolatry, he turned back to YHWH. He was a seeker that knew of YHWH’s loving-kindness and mercy from his youth! This is what made David a man after YHWH’s heart. (1 Samuel 13:13, 14; Psalm 119:47-18, 97; Acts 13:22, 23-31; “The Idolatry Factor“; “Video: What is Idolatry?“)
The first step in separating yourself from the lost is to find YHWH’s truth. You start by reading the Bible and seeking truth though the Holy Spirit through prayer. You become set apart through the Holy Spirit, your Counselor. He is your Informer. The Messiah is your Master, your High Priest. You need Him. His sacrifice secured your life. This is the foundation of your relationship with YHWH. This is a relationship that so many scoff about because they reject the Holy Spirit. They also seek the power to change your mind. This is a battle of two kingdoms.
