In John’s apocalypse, the Book of Revelation, the meaning of the word ‘apocalypse’ refers primarily to an ‘unveiling’ or ‘revelation.’ Looming large in your mind may be the judgment of the wicked, and afterward, the resurrection of those who are considered as righteous before YHWH. In the meantime, the condition of the dead is clearly revealed in the book of Job, Ecclesiastes and in Psalms as being in ‘sheol,’ the place or condition of the grave, awaiting the final judgment. At the judgment, the wicked will then be consigned to the Lake of Fire, eternal destruction. (Revelation 16, 19:20, 20:10, 14-15, 21:8) Whether this is positive or negative depends on your outlook, or for that matter, how you have decided to live your life in relation to obedience to YHWH, your Heavenly Father. (1 Corinthians 15:42-44; “Being Set Apart Makes You Aware of Sin“; “Delusion & the Tightening Noose of the Beast System“)
This unveiling clearly refers the Messiah and the Coming Kingdom, YHWH’s Kingdom. The world has engaged in sometimes scandalous supposition through programs that are often released on the History Channel and other similar media venues. The common representation by the world media is that ‘apocalypse’ is the end of the planet, a view that has gained favor with the politics of global warming and the ongoing worry of scientists. A great asteroid, or whatever the latest flavor of disaster is this month, is headed for the inhabitants of the earth, if you choose to believe the fear-mongers. Institutional Christianity has not been effective at clearing this up either. Multitudes believe that the end of the physical earth is at hand even though scripture indicates that the earth will remain indefinitely for the purposes of YHWH Almighty. (“Incentives of Deception“)
What part of the earth will pass away? The heaven and earth of the system under the control of man [kosmos] will pass away, and the resident political nations with it. While this statement might enrage a number of people, this doesn’t change matters to YHWH. (Daniel 2:44, 7:13-14, 18; Revelation 3:21; Psalm 2:4-9; 2 Peter 2:5, 3:6-7; 1 John 2:17) The original language of Bible indicates that the essential nuts and bolts of the physical earth won’t pass away entirely, though plenty of cleansing is a certainty. (Deuteronomy 4:40; Psalm 37:29, 78:69, 104:5; Isaiah 65:17; Luke 1:30-35; 2 Peter 3:10-13) You don’t need to blow the earth up or completely obliterate the sphere of the earth for righteousness to dwell, but simply to eradicate the poison that resides on it. That poison is rebellion against YHWH. (Genesis 3:2-5: James 1:9-11) Psalm 102:25-26 reveals that compared to YHWH the Almighty, the earth is finite. It is material rather than spiritual. This does change YHWH’s mind. The Almighty intended for the earth to last indefinitely. Rebellion to YHWH will not last indefinitely. The wicked will pass away. Sin on earth is unacceptable and will ultimately pass away too, and death with it! (Romans 5:13, 6:23, 8:13; Revelation 21:4; “Understanding Sin“)
“One generation passes away, and another generation comes; but the earth abides forever.” – Ecclesiastes 1:4, NKJV
Consider that this current age is what is slated for demolition, much as Sodom and Gomorrah were as referenced in Luke 17:27-30. Isaiah 65:17, Hebrews 1:10-11, Matthew 5:18, 2 Peter 3:10-13 and Revelation 21:1 (Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33) don’t refer to the destruction of the planet, but to the elements of the corruption of man and his government, which will be replaced by YHWH’s Kingdom. (Malachi 2:3, Isaiah 28:21; Matthew 25:41) Even so, YHWH’s people shouldn’t be concerned. They are in the capable right hand of Elohim Most High, wherever they may be! (Hebrews 11:33-40; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 12:9; “The Unpardonable Sin“)
The truth is that your outlook about the Last Days and common conceptions about Armageddon (Acts 1:6-7; Joel 3:9-17; Revelation 16:16, 19:11-20:3; Ezekiel 38:17-39:29) really depends on where you truthfully place your trust. The truth is that the spiritual battle leading up to the Battle of Armageddon has been going on in the physical and spiritual world since shortly after the Messiah ascended into heaven. (Zephaniah 1:15; 2 Peter 3:13-14) It’s been a bloody mess here on earth since then in fulfillment of prophecy. Today we can see how Bible prophecy is coming into closer fulfillment than ever before as mankind has filled the earth. (“World War 3? End Time Insights About Gog and Magog“; “A Coming Peril Before Change“)
By literal description, Armageddon takes place in the Valley of Jehoshaphat in the Kidron Valley, which Megiddo (“the hill of Megiddo”) overlooks, in the immediate vicinity of Jerusalem. (Joel 3:2, 9-16) The truth is that the words of the Bible make no prediction for a war fought between two human armies at Messiah’s return. Revelation 16:14 does say that armies from the east and west will drawn together by lying demons as they march to Jerusalem and fight the Messiah. (Revelation 14:14-20, 19:11-21; Joel 3:12-14) The real problem is that “British Zionists” (those that brought about the current nation of Israel) and their followers, just as the Maccabeans, have tried to bring about fulfillment of their understanding of what Bible prophecy “should be” on the earth. This has swayed millions of Christians from examining scripture and seeking YHWH for a definitive answer to their questions and concerns based on truth. (Psalm 46:1-3, 51:1-19) Demonic spirits in this day seek their own agenda, pretending to recommend the ideas of man when man should be seeking YHWH. Through distraction and deception, these deceptive dark forces fully intend that Messiah should come as a thief in the night. (Psalm 51:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 5:21) As a result, plagues will fall on the nations that seek their own will instead of YHWH’s. (Revelation 16) Just as YHWH set the children of Israel free from Egypt, these plagues are designed to set YHWH’s people free from slavery to the economic and political systems of the world. This won’t happen though, unless they are actively making their minds and hearts new in the Yahshua [Jesus] the Master! (“Wisdom & the Battle of Two Kingdoms“; “Bible: Wisdom 101“)
Because of the ambiguity in institutional Christianity and in a deceived world, the majority of mankind lives in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception about such matters. They don’t know who to trust, so they trust themselves. Satan and the patent foolishness of mankind have clouded truth. In fact, multitudes of people today believe that truth is whatever they want it to be. Not only do billions of people suffer in their sins apart from any kind of real knowledge, (Isaiah 24:4-5, 34:1-17; Hosea 4:6) even the land suffers the effects of evil, lawbreaking and ignorance. Today, you and I can easily see the effects of sin in the world around us in every aspect of society. Even those faithful to YHWH suffer from the results of corruption in the world and the system that promotes it. Even so, you can make a difference, even though the veil has yet to be lifted in every respect. The world is full of misinformation. Christians must turn their faces to YHWH instead of to false teachers that seek to mislead and milk them of resources. (Isaiah 24:14-16) Disciples and all of mankind are in a spiritual battle, where they reap the rewards of spiritual fruit that they bear. (“Disciple: Victory in Spiritual Battle“)
“But know this, that in the last days hard times shall come. For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, thankless, wrong-doers, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, haters of good, betrayers, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Elohim, having a form of reverence but denying its power. And turn away from these!” – 2 Timothy 3:1-5, ISR98
Your Heavenly Father has and completes His plans as promised. He fulfills His promises to you as His faithful servant. Think of the prayers that He has answered and praise Him for that! (Isaiah 25:4-6, 35:1-10; Luke 6:20) All YHWH’s people, ‘Gentiles and Jews,’ together celebrate the joy of eternity with Him! (Isaiah 25:7-9, 55:4-5, 10-13) This is what YHWH’s people have to look forward to. (Revelation 5:10)
“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money. Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you — the sure mercies of David” – Isaiah 55:1-3, NKJV
Regardless of what is going on in the world of mankind, YHWH offers His people free nourishment that feeds the soul. (Isaiah 55:6) Will you receive it? Just as the nation of Israel did not fulfill it’s commitment to YHWH, multitudes that call themselves Christian make idols for themselves. Sometimes that idol is the teacher or preacher. That idol may be false teaching. Most commonly, that idolatry is self, mammon, and the needs of man. (Matthew 24:4) YHWH knows what you need! (Matthew 6:33; “Your Refuge is Important“; “YHWH’s Threshing Floor“)
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says YAHWEH. For as the heavens are high from the earth, so My ways are high from your ways, and My thoughts from your thoughts.” – Isaiah 55:8-9, HRB
Turn aside and seek Him while He can be found! A person that is not set apart to Elohim has no assurance of physical life tomorrow. (Luke 12:19; James 4:13-15; Proverbs 27:1) Don’t be separated from your Heavenly Father! You don’t have forever to suffer in the land of indecision! (Isaiah 59:2; Luke 13:1-9; “Holy Spirit 101”; “Knowing Where You Stand on YHWH’s Threshing Floor“)
“Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; keeping sabbath, from defiling it; and keeping his hand from doing every evil.” – Isaiah 56:2, NKJV
“And answering, Yahshua [Jesus] said to them, ‘See that no man deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Messiah. And they will cause many to be deceived. For you are bound to hear of revolutions and rumor of wars. Watch out and do not be disturbed, for it is necessary that all these things happen, but it is not yet the end.
For nation will be raised against nation and kingdom against kingdom; and there will be famines and plagues and earthquakes against many places. But all these are a beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to affliction, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. And then many will be offended, and they will deliver up one another and will hate one another.
And many false prophets will be raised and will deceive many. And because lawlessness shall have been multiplied, the love of the many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, that one will have eternal life. And this good news of the Kingdom shall be published in all the earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.’” – Matthew 24:4-14, HRB (Matthew 10:17; 2 Peter 2:1; 2 Timothy 4:1; Revelation 6:2-4; Haggai 2:22, also read Matthew 24:15-31, 25:31-46; ”The Abomination That Causes Desolation”; “End Time Decision & Reality“; “Being Set Apart Makes You Aware of Sin“)
Daniel 12:2 summarizes the two very different experiences facing mankind: Many that sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Scripture indicates that everyone will be raised from the dead, but once again, not everyone will share the same ends. The Bible reveals the further detail of separate resurrections for the righteous and the wicked. (Luke 14:14; John 5:29; “YHWH’s Track of Righteousness“)
So instead of mourning the end of an age, sanctified disciples of the Messiah have plenty to look forward to, much of which we cannot fully appreciate. Why? We are, at least in part, limited by personal experience on the earth as imperfect people. What your Father promises is a new age for His people. That is what we have to look forward to, no matter what happens, regardless of the popular end time doctrine of the moment! YHWH is our trust! He is our significance! (Isaiah 35:5-10)
What is the new age of which the Bible speaks of? This age is YHWH’s Kingdom, the only world order that can bring any measure of peace to this earth or to mankind. All of this takes place after the destruction of the earthly beast of man. Plenty of Christians profess a heavenly hope where they expect to walk in streets of gold or to float luxuriously on clouds as angels with wings. Christians are full of disagreement about what they should expect. Many seem bound and determined that they or those they honor hold the truth about every detail, even as most of them hold to tradition and teaching with great error that completely ignores any attempt at accurate Bible knowledge. What they should expect is for things to be as Elohim decides them to be.
What Christians do have, according to the Books of Revelation and Isaiah, is life during a Millennial reign. This understanding springs directly from the roots of Judaism and Christianity in the first century. The Book of Revelation, as well as other Bible verses, are clear about quite a few basic details, resurrection and judgment among them. (Matthew 13:24-30; Acts 24:15; Revelation 14:1-5, 19:11-16, 20:1-10, 11-15) The resurrection of the dead involves both the righteous and the wicked. The standards belong to the Almighty, all of which are made clear throughout the Bible.
“Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of YHWH; and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.” – John 5:25-29, NKJV
“And I saw thrones, and they sat on them. And judgment was given to them, and the souls of the ones having been beheaded because of the witness of Yahshua [Jesus], and because of the Word of YAHWEH, and who had not worshiped the beast nor its image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they lived and reigned with Messiah a thousand years. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy [sanctified] is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of YAHWEH and of His Messiah, and will reign with Him a thousand years.” – Revelation 20:4-6, HRB (Matthew 27:52-53)
The resurrection of the wicked occurs only after the millennium. Revelation 20:5 says that the rest of the dead, the wicked, don’t live again at the first resurrection. The wicked are not resurrected before the last days or when the righteous are raised from the dead. They are resurrected at the judgment before the second death just before the Lake of Fire destruction. (2 Peter 3:9-13; John 5:29) The wicked remain asleep in death in ‘sheol’ until the final resurrection. The purpose of the Millennium is to prove that many in mankind are willing to fully obey the leading of YHWH right here on earth, after challenge to His Sovereignty by Satan and wicked mankind. After the millennium, the new heavens and new earth (Micah 4:1-4; Zephaniah 2:11; Isaiah 65:19-23; Revelation 21) will be in full bloom, the complete eradication of all corruption that Satan and complicit mankind brought into being. (“The Wheels of Ezekiel“; “Trusting in YHWH Instead of Princes“; “Breaking Strongholds of False Authority“)
As far as the righteous, all that have died in Messiah will be made alive. Messiah was the first fruit for all resurrection, ordering the way for righteous mankind to follow. Everyone that is deemed righteous at the Messiah’s Coming will be delivered to YHWH’s Kingdom. He comes for His bride, in preparation for the millennium. (Zechariah 14:4; Matthew 25:1-13; Revelation 19:7-8) Not all will die before the Messiah returns. That is why death is swallowed up in victory through Yahshua [Jesus] the Master! (1 Corinthians 15:54-58; “Bible Truth About Death“)
For the past almost 2,000 years Judaism has been blinded, along with the rest of the world, because they do not accept Yahshua [Jesus] as the Messiah or live out His commandments in line with the new man through the Holy [Sanctified, Set Apart] Spirit. (Luke 19:41-42; Romans 11) Happily, no man is to judge of the hearts of other men. That is left to the Kingdom of Elohim. Instead, in humility and obedience, disciples are to spread the Kingdom Message and to apply it to themselves in practical fashion. Your Heavenly Father knows the heart of His people and who they are, even as spiritual light continues to shine brighter in their lives. (Colossians 3:1, 10; Ephesians 4:24; 1 Corinthians 2:14; 2 Corinthians 5:17; “YHWH’s Protection in Difficult Times“; “Is It Normal to Have Pain & Suffering?“; “Christianity: A Crisis in Prayer & Spirit“)
