What You Should Be Optimistic About

by John and Ruth Greene

strife of the worldWith all the negativity and strife that you see in the world – coupled with the mental and emotional conditioning of the world, you might be tempted to contemplate what is going on about you fearfully. (2 Timothy 2:23-25; Galatians 5:19-20; Romans 14:1; Proverbs 10:12) Unrestrained fear roots out love and other divine qualities in your life. Conditioned thinking of the past may have set you on your personal charted course grounded in fear. You may well be living in this state of mind without fully realizing it. The tentacles of fear and other demonic strongholds can truly run deep, especially when a person consistently gives in to these emotions and mindsets, either through ignorance or denial. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 2 Corinthians 10:3-4; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-18; 1 John 4:1; “Overcoming Fear during Tough Times“; “Opposing Fear“)

angry parentMom or dad could have brought fear into your life. In this world, fear is usually about submission or about prompting you to do something. Many times, fear is simply a tool with intention of effecting control, devised to force you into submission to a world of politics and commerce. (John 14:6) The authorities of the world often love to use these tools of control for their own benefit, a sight that you see every day. (Romans 12:2) Fear is a tool of manipulation. However, YHWH’s Kingdom is not about fear and loathing even though many look at this Kingdom through the same lens. (John 14:27; 2 Timothy 1:7; Romans 8:15; Ephesians 3:12; Psalm 23:1-6) Why? The revealing of Elohim’s Kingdom is nothing to fear when you have that Kingdom in interest, holding it as priority in your mind and heart as an unapologetic disciple of Messiah. (Psalm 27:1-6; Hebrews 13:5-6) What do we mean by unapologetic? Simply this: you don’t offer apology for the truth of Elohim [YHWH]. His Word is what it is, whether anyone else likes it or not. That is called belief and trust. You don’t offer apology for it. (“Start Overcoming Child Abuse“; “Single-minded Commitment in Face of Trauma“; “Family Stress Affects Generations“)

prioritizing your timeAs you live out your life, what is the importance of your life? This is determined by what you do and what you belief. What decides the priority of your life is where you spend your time. There’s no refuting it. Have you ever heard of something that many Christians call the “Great Commission?” (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:14-19) This is a great outreach that many claim to be doing. Most Christians are not, preferring to leave this ‘unpleasant chore’ to some one else, or paying some one else to do it with a ‘tithe.’ This overall scene in organized religion has cheapened trust in the Father and the sacrifice of His Son Yahshua [Jesus], resulting in more Christians turning away from organized religion. (Proverbs 11:9) Fear has prevented honest ‘witnessing’ and the use of spiritual gifts on a grand scale. (John 16:1-4; Luke 9:62; Galatians 6:9-10) The financial opportunity for organized religion has also been grounded in a spirit of fear as well, for they cannot keep their jobs or maintain their great religious infrastructures without a professed sacred duty. (Ezekiel 34:7-10) Fear of rejection abounds within the professed church. (1 Peter 5:7; 2 Corinthians 4:9; Hebrews 13:5; Psalm 27:10) Worse, organized religion has become enslaved to the State, with the State setting boundaries through statute which can easily conflict with the purpose of “the faith.” This reality has crept quietly on the scene, even in many “first world” nations that profess great freedom with such relish. (Romans 12:1-2) It’s not a pretty situation as more Christians isolate themselves from the fallout and the lack of purpose in the ‘church.’ (“Breaking the Hold of Stress“; “YHWH’s Prayer Shawl of Protection“)

apostasyA general falling away was foretold, but not all are falling away or giving in to apostasy. (2 Thessalonians 2:3; 1 Timothy 4:1-2; 2 Timothy 4:1-4; Hebrews 6) Instead, some are taking their trust in YHWH and the practice of their trust to a higher level through increased knowledge and Spirit, and along with that, the opportunity to turn aside the scorn that organized Christianity has brought about through ongoing neglect of the pursuit of scriptural truth over the traditions of men. (James 3:13-18; Romans 10:2; Hosea 4:6; Proverbs 19:2) They are lifting up Elohim’s truth in their family. Family is once again the center of trust in YHWH instead of a cheap substitute which was no substitute at all, but for the benefit of the “leaders of men.” (“YHWH’s Track of Righteousness“; “Consenting to Fables of Men“; “Prospering Your Family“; “The Image & Mark of the Beast System“)

Instead of the fear of rejection and the lack of love among those that profess trust in the Messiah, disciples can rise above the spirit of fear and the teachings of demons that are so rampant in the world. (James 4) Disciples of Messiah do not need to fear failure or death, nor be tormented by such things. We need genuine knowledge of YHWH to be delivered from the strongholds of the world that bind and imprison. (James 2) We must not continue to receive the negativity and wrong that has been placed on us in the past. (James 3) We can be free of such things through the sacrifice of Messiah and through our willingness on a personal basis. The more of the divine qualities of love that Christians have in their lives, the less fear can exist. This is because love destroys fear, a reality that is often overlooked. (“Real Love“; “Is Your Love For Others Cold?“; “Understanding Sin“; “Foundation of Salvation“)

thinkingDisciples of Messiah must set aside fear and the unhealthy emotional practices that go along with these destructive spiritual powers. This must and can be reversed. (1 John 4:18) How a person thinks and acts directly affects that person. When a person lives in fear, it is a conviction that what they fear will be birthed. Unhappily, this fear is also what can help to bring what is feared into being, especially through the spoken word. (Psalm 27:1; Hebrews 13:5-6) Another factor that disciples must realize is that you are never alone. Elohim is with you, and you can keep this confidently in mind. You will not be forsaken. Make YHWH your Stronghold instead of the strongholds that bind the nations of the world. (Deuteronomy 31:6; Joshua 1:5; Psalm 9:10, 37:25) Think of trust instead of the word “faith.” Trust. (Psalm 18:2, 91:2; Nahum 1:7; 2 Corinthians 3:4-6) YHWH is your protector. (2 Samuel 22:31; Job 13:5; Psalm 7:1; Proverbs 30:5; 2 Timothy 4:10) A true change of thinking is required. (Romans 2:4; John 15:10)

“Commit your way to YHWH and trust in Him, and He does it.” – Psalm 37:5, ISR98

shareAs you live your belief and trust in the Father, you simply share Bible truth with others. It becomes a natural part of you. Many organizations have made great claims about salvation, but sharing Bible truth is a one to one personal exchange, brought to full fruit through the Holy Spirit. Whether you can do this or not is a matter of trust and a natural extension of abiding in Messiah. Prayer is the most important tool to begin to break the hold of fear and to learn to trust, no matter how broken you may feel. Confess your lack of trust in prayer and ask YHWH to strengthen you. (Psalm 51:10-17, 86:11) Ask Him to fire your desire for knowing His truth and sounding it into your heart. (Hebrews 4:12) Commit yourself fully to Him. Don’t stop.

“Seek Yahweh, and His strength: seek His face evermore. ” – Psalm 105:4, WoY

read your Bible dailyYour confidence in Elohim [YHWH] cannot be misplaced and ultimately your love and concern for others that are receptive to His truth will grow. As you seek Bible truth with the power of the Holy Spirit, you will grow in spiritual maturity. However, spiritual maturity is not required to express your trust and your testimony to others, to arouse their interest through YHWH’s work in your life. (Colossians 1:28; James 4:17) YHWH seeks to deliver all that will listen and you are the instrument. (Psalm 91; Deuteronomy 3:22) The Bible is the personal mirror to a sanctified disciple. (James 1:22-24; Matthew 6:24-33; Luke 12) You learn about sin so that you can use Bible knowledge as a personal measuring tool to measure your improvement as you walk away from the past and put on the new man in Messiah. (Romans 6:6; Ephesians 2:15, 4:22-24; Colossians 3:9-11) This isn’t about ignoring what is going on about you, but overcoming. (James 4:4, 6; 2 Corinthians 10:3-4; Ephesians 6:11-12; Psalm 34:4) For example, if the people around you are participating in vile conduct or a repetitively ignoring the truth of Elohim’s Word, will you continue to stay around them? (James 3:13-17; 1 Corinthians 1:18-31; 3:19-21)

“Trust in YHWH with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; know Him in all your ways, and He makes all your paths straight. ” – Proverbs 3:5-6, ISR98

Miracle of the New Man in ChristThe Bible says that you need to take great care who you hang around and what you put into your mind and heart, which includes those that perpetuate religious error – especially those that say you must stay around them for salvation. (2 Timothy 2:15; James 4)

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” – James 3:13-18, NKJV

(Revelation 22:18-19; Ephesians 5:17; James 1:5; 1 Corinthians 15:33; Proverbs 13:20, 23:23) Your significance is not from men, but from YHWH alone! Yahshua [Jesus] alone is your ‘High Priest,’ not an organization of man! (Hebrews 4:14) We are not to worship the messenger! (Revelation 22:1-11)

Scripture tells you what you need to know. The Holy Spirit seals you in this knowledge as your Counselor. (Matthew 10:16; Philippians 1:9-10; Colossians 1:9-10; 1 Corinthians 2:6-10) You have reason for great confidence as YHWH’s Kingdom is brought into being, not through the power of man or a certain religious organization of man, but through the power of Elohim at His appointed time through Yahshua [Jesus] the Messiah. (Matthew 24:3; 1 Corinthians 4:5; Daniel 11:29; Habakkuk 2:3) YHWH has proved that man cannot rule in peace. (Isaiah 59:8) YHWH’s Kingdom isn’t the traditions and teachings of man around you now, but rather a movement of YHWH in rapid progress. (Isaiah 2:4; Hosea 4:1-13; Revelation 11:15–19) Yahshua [Jesus] the Savior is returning. (Matthew 24:30–31; John 14:3; Acts 1:6–11; Revelation 3:11) This is not the end, only the beginning of your new life and a new world through Yahshua [Jesus] Messiah! (Revelation 22:12-15; Matthew 11:25; James 1:17; 2 Peter 1:2-3) Swords will be made into plowshares and peace will rule the earth! (Isaiah 9:7; Psalm 2:7–9; Revelation 2:27; “Knowing Where You Stand on YHWH’s Threshing Floor“)

“For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, RNKJV
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your glory. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. Amen.
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
