What You Say: Evidence Of What You Believe

stronghold lambBelief, what is commonly called faith, is essential. That belief, the conviction of your heart, always bears fruit. The heart that is grounded in Bible truth bears fruit that is pleasing to the Heavenly Father [YHWH]. This is especially true when each of His people personally seek spiritual maturity. Your spiritual fruit is your personal response to Elohim [YHWH]. James admonished Elohim’s people to stop becoming many teachers (or masters), in the effort to elevate themselves over their brothers and sisters. (James 3:1; Hebrews 4:15, 6:20) We know that Yahshua [Jesus] is the Master and High Priest over His people. So this admonition wasn’t simply about teaching what everyone in the congregation hoped to understand, but what is understood through the teaching of the Master. Teachers are not to gather followers after themselves, thus dividing the gathering of the Messiah’s people. This is one reason why the professed body of the Messiah’s people is so splintered, fragmented and weakened. (“Interfaith: Image of the Beast & the False Prophet“; “Christians & Religious Freedom in the Last Days“; “Life Healing & Belief“)

spiritual maturityThe call of James was a call to wisdom that encouraged discernment and spiritual maturity, focusing on the teaching of Yahshua [Jesus] the Messiah and the word of scripture. YHWH’s people aren’t to be divided by other masters. They are to seek scriptural truth alone through accurate knowledge and through the power of the Holy Spirit, a matter that each disciple must discern and operate in. (James 1:19-27; 2:1-5, 14-24) A disciple follows a false teacher at his own peril! A man is justified by his works and not by faith alone. When you are following after a religious man instead of the Almighty, you are indeed justified by your works. (“Healing Wounds That People Can’t See“; “A Tough Tongue Creates Tough Times“)

In the same way, the tongue is the evidence of your belief, proof of your trust in Yahshua [Jesus] as your Messiah and His holy provision for you. The tongue is what steers you as you speak out, just as the same tongue can influence others.

“For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man is able to tame the tongue. It is unruly, evil, filled with deadly poison. With it we bless our Elohim and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of Elohim. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brothers, this should not be so. Does the fountain send forth the sweet and the bitter from the same opening? My brothers, is a fig tree able to bear olives, or a grapevine figs? So neither is a fountain able to make salt and sweet water.” – James 3:7-12, ISR98

battlefield of the mindWhat you say and don’t say are both important. Since all men and women on this earth are imperfect, being fully aware of what should not be said according to YHWH’s Word is vitally important. Why? Each of us is judged by what is said. You are judged by what springs from your heart into your life. (James 1:22, 26; “YHWH’s Threshing Floor“; “Knowing Where You Stand On YHWH’s Threshing Floor“; “The Plight of the Strong Man“)

“So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, for the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of Elohim. Therefore put away all filthiness and overflow of evil, and receive with meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your lives.” – James 1:19-21, ISR98

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good behavior his works in meekness of wisdom.” – James 3:13, ISR98

70f9f-newmaninchristYou may be completely aware of what YHWH’s Word says. The imperfection of your flesh (the natural man) can cause you to forget the kind of man you are (the spiritual man). This isn’t mystical as some would say, but is very practical. As you willingly work with the Holy Spirit in your life you become a ‘new man,’ grounded in scripture and Spirit through Yahshua [Jesus] the Messiah. Doing what Elohim says is obedience, the proof of your love returned to Him. (John 1:14, 7:17, 8:36, 17:19; Romans 6:18, 8:2; Galatians 5:1; “Redeemed Through Obedience & Faith“; “YHWH’s People Walk by Faith & Obedience to His Word“)

“…If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” – John 8:31-32, NKJV

The flesh is full of corruption: bitter envy, selfish ambition, boasting, disorder and strife. (James 3:14-18) When you abide in Elohim’s Word and the provision of Yahshua [Jesus], you are submissive to YHWH, full of love and good fruit. (James 4:1-4, 7-10, 12; “A Mind of Envy & Competition“; “Messiah & the Tool of Envy“)

“Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” – James 2:25-26, NKJV

discern both good and evilLike Rahab, the direction of your life can hinge on a single decision. In the same way, the profession of the tongue is often the result of a single decision, which proves where your belief really is in the heat of a particular moment. Over time, your mouth proves what you really believe. (James 4:13-17; 1 Peter 1:14; Deuteronomy 12:28) Your actions are your personal testimony, deciding whether you receive Elohim’s blessings or the curse of nations. (Hebrews 3:7-12; Acts 7:51; 2 Chronicles 30:8; Deuteronomy 28:15-61) Whether that testimony is one of earthly favoritism and corruption, or a lifestyle of devotion, love and purity that seeks after YHWH, Yahshua [Jesus] and the Holy Spirit, the decision is entirely up to you. (James 5:1-9, 19-20; Ezekiel 18:4-32; “Doctrine Is What You Do“; “A Doctrine of Demons“)

As we wait for the return of our Messiah, we have this advice from James:

“Is any of you suffering evil? Let him pray. Is anyone in good spirits? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly [ekklesia, gathering], and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the Name of the Master. And the prayer of the belief shall save the sick, and the Master shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he shall be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, so that you are healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous one accomplishes much. Ěliyahu [Elijah] was a man with feelings like us, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain. And it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. ” – James 5:13-18, ISR98

“For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, RNKJV
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your glory. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. Amen.
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
