The Unapologetic Christian

by John and Ruth Greene

“Yahshua [Jesus] answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.’” – John 14:23, ISR98

How a world of religious people and organized religion has been shown up, and it’s not a happy state of affairs. (Luke 9:23; John 14:15, 21) Certainly, all fall short of Father YHWH’s glory, but today most of those that claim to be leaders or that fill positions of leadership walk the other way. They are teaching another gospel foreign to the Messiah! (2 Timothy 2:15, 4:4-5; 1 Corinthians 15:1; 2 Corinthians 11:3-4; Galatians 1:6-9; Titus 1:14) The evidence is clear, visible in the spiritual fruit of the people. (Matthew 13:23; Luke 8:4-15; Galatians 5:22-26)

bible-hug-internetAll of this examination, this unveiling, is not about beating yourself up or about judging someone else. It’s about being personally justified through righteousness, the Father’s way. Scripture tells the disciple of Messiah what to do based on YHWH’s principles. It’s about examining yourself and what is going on about you. (1 John 1:9; Psalm 86:5; Micah 6:8) Messiah assures salvation one person at a time. Some say that “to listen to the Church is to listen to the Lord of the Church.” When a group of professed Christians that claim to follow the Messiah aren’t following Him, where does this lead you when you are following after someone else? (Matthew 15:12-14; 23:23-30; Luke 6:39) Do you get the point? Most are simply pretending to do what someone else says for their own selfish reasons, mostly relating to things of the world while deluding themselves. (Romans 12:1-2; “Blind Leading the Blind“)

giving favorably through graceYour trust in Father YHWH isn’t about cheap grace. You stand to be in a great deal of trouble unless you align your life with YHWH. Your trust isn’t hollow, but produces works – evidence. (Deuteronomy 11:18-21; Psalm 34:19; Jeremiah 33:6; Matthew 12:36-37; John 5:24; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:12-15) Joyful are you when you listen and happily do what your Savior and Master instructed. (Mark 9:2-9; John 5:36-40; Romans 8:1) You become accountable before the Most High grounded in Bible knowledge instead of following after the traditions of man. This isn’t simply Bible-based learning, thinking and discernment, but rather, the mind of Messiah wholly focused on scriptures set out in the Bible and rounded out by the Holy Spirit. (Mark 7:6-8; Luke 19:10; John 1:12; Philippians 2:3-7; 1 John 5:12; Ephesians 4:30; 1 Corinthians 2:10-16) You take your information directly from the Word instead of diluting it or making it more palatable. (2 Timothy 2:15, 3:16; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; “Understanding Sin“)

image of ethicsYou live your life honestly rather than through dishonesty; not through a moral code of man based on a “Judeo-Christian ethic,” but through the living Word of Elohim. YHWH is your Source. (John 3:36; 1 John 5:11-13; Titus 3:5-7) This is exactly what so many leaders are afraid of. They lose their importance and the ability to profit from you. Some would mold you to fit their political and personal needs, as users. That’s history. To have a direct relationship with Elohim gets in the way of worldly power. It threatens the power of the hierarchy of man. “God first” is seen as a threat to the order of authority. (John 14:15-17; Acts 4:12; Philippians 3:8-9)

halo effectThis isn’t about the “halo effect,” reported to be the difference between what people tell others and what they actually do. (Matthew 9:13, 20:27-28; John 12:25-26; Romans 6:20-22; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20) Most people tend to paint themselves better than what they are in life. (Ephesians 3:1-12; Isaiah 60:1-6) Whenever the body of the Messiah gathers, for multitudes a personal disconnect has been taking place. This has been happening for generations. Christians have forgotten the purpose and the need for personal relationship. No wonder, since following another gospel apart from Yahshua [Jesus] Messiah simply doesn’t satisfy or bring eternal life. (Galatians 1:8-9; Romans 2:16) A great falling away has been underway for quite some time, right in line with Bible prophecy. This shouldn’t concern disciples as long as they aren’t falling away based on what YHWH’s Word says. (2 Thessalonians 2:3; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; John 1:12; Ephesians 2:8-9; Matthew 24:10-13; 1 Timothy 4:1) In the same way, much of modern society has drifted apart where family and friends are concerned, which has also been foretold, along with this era of worldly global information. (Matthew 24:4-14; Daniel 12:1-4; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; 1 Peter 4:8-9)

small Bible studyAn American mission board says that for most Americans “the primary form of spiritual nourishment is meeting with a small group of 20 or less people every week.” (Matthew 18:20; Acts 5:42; Galatians 6:10; James 5:16; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Proverbs 27:17; Ecclesiastes 4:12) This is similar in style to first century Christians, who met together in smaller tight knit groups often. (Acts 2:46, 20:20) The Bible calls all genuine disciples to closer relationships and sharing wherever possible. For many, this ‘bad news’ about the ‘church’ is not a spiritual crisis, but a personal recognition of scriptural order by approximately a quarter of Christians in the United States (and perhaps in other lands as well). (Ephesians 2:4-7; Galatians 5:22; Romans 5:1-5; Colossians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 3:16)

attending churchBeing a Christian isn’t necessarily about attending ‘church’ either, but living a consecrated life of love and obedience in ministry to others. Is that happening or are you lying to yourself? A spiritual crisis isn’t a consideration for those that love their Heavenly Father and the provision of eternal life through Yahshua [Jesus] the Messiah. (Romans 10:6-10) For many analysts, faith is about “consumer culture,” a philosophy grounded in propaganda and lies. The honest reality is that corporate church buildings are not typically serving a real function for unapologetic Christians which will no longer sit among those that want to play church with a diluted gospel that isn’t a gospel at all, to be manipulated by corporate pastors and politicians. Disciples of the Messiah that are unapologetic make a personal stand for Yahshua [Jesus] as they allow the Holy Spirit to work through them live their belief. (Hebrews 2:1; 1 Corinthians 11:28, 31, 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 13:5; Revelation 3:3)

holy spiritArguably, billions of professed Christians have been playing it safe throughout the historical record with a sanctified devotion that doesn’t have YHWH’s power through the Holy Spirit. (John 14:15-17, 25-26, Acts 2:1-4; Galatians 5:22-25; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11) The “church” has retreated they say… and why not? (1 John 2:19-27) Multitudes have been discouraged, even misinformed about the whole truth of Messiah, even their personal need to take a personal stand and what that means. They have missed the power of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of YHWH’s Spirit. Many have died in ignorance through errant teaching and unbelief. This is the tragedy of our age since Messiah was sacrificed, one that unapologetic Christians expect to undo while they can. (Matthew 28:18-20) The Holy Spirit has been ignored as the Teacher of every disciple, a vital link to YHWH and His written Word. The Holy Spirit is not to be ashamed of, nor apologized for. (John 6:63; Acts 7:51; 1 John 5:6, 14:26; Romans 8:16, 27; Ephesians 4:30; 2 Corinthians 3:16-18, 5:16-18; Revelation 2:7)

“But the Helper, the Set-apart [Holy] Spirit, whom the Father shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you.” – John 14:26, ISR98

church deceptionUntold numbers of honest-hearted professed Christians stay within the safety zone set out by their leaders through deception. (Matthew 24:4-5; Acts 20:29-31; Galatians 6:7-8; James 1:12-16; 1 Corinthians 6:8-10, 15:33-34; 2 Corinthians 11:2-4) This plight hasn’t been the case for everyone. (Matthew 5:20, 7:21, 18:2-3; Luke 13:5-9; Mark 9:47; John 3:5; Ephesians 5:1-7; Colossians 3:5-7) Many disciples of Messiah are coming to know that they must be renewed in heart and mind, through the power of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 3:9-11; Romans 6:6; 2 Corinthians 5:17) They seek YHWH personally. (Luke 11:9-10; John 6:37; James 4:8) This age that we live in isn’t all about bad news, but about YHWH’s Kingdom reaching the ends of the earth and the unveiling His Kingdom. (Acts 17:26-28) As for the time that disciples spend, let it not be wasted! Remember too, that life renewal never ends in a world full of demonic influence. (1 Corinthians 1:18-31; 1 John 4:1) It’s a daily battle, but worthy nonetheless, as disciples around the world make every effort to do as Yahshua [Jesus] told us while there is still time, and to wait patiently for YHWH’s Kingdom to come. (Galatians 5:19-21; John 16:2-3; Habakkuk 2:4; Psalm 51:10-12; 1 Corinthians 10:13; 2 Corinthians 7:1)

“Be still, and know that I am Elohim; I am exalted among nations, I am exalted in the earth!” – Psalm 46:10, ISR98

“For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, RNKJV
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your glory. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. Amen.
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
