Consenting to Fables of Men

by John and Ruth Greene

“Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” – 2 Timothy 4:2-6, NKJV

pope vatican world govtOver the centuries, the leaders of Christianity have attempted to reinvent the ‘church’ by growing consensus in order to become more widely accepted by the world [Greek: kosmos]. In this way, they have become part of the world. (Romans 12:1-2) Today, genuine disciples of the Messiah face the same temptation, to listen to those that teach fables of men according to their own desires. The politicians of the world would cast off scriptural truth for contrived unity, making diversity an excuse for a myth of harmony. (Proverbs 14:12) Through history, religion often buys off on the same contrivances of men. Because of these worldly influences, the ‘church’ (yes – possibly your gathering) often dwells continually on the wide road leading to destruction by who they listen to and how they live their personal lives. (Matthew 7:13-14; John 14:6; James 1:21-22; Revelation 20:15; “Blind Leading the Blind“; “Which Shepherd Do You Believe?“; “Foundation of Salvation“; “The Hidden Lifestyle Message of Messiah“; “Disciples of the Messiah & Spiritual Fruit“)

“Enter in through the narrow gate. Because wide is the gate and spacious the road, put to death through destruction, and many, by their reason, agree to enter. For narrow is the gate and troublesome is the road, the one that leads to life, and few agree to obtain it.

Take heed that you separate yourselves from false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inside are ravening wolves. You will know to mark them by their fruit. Does anyone gather grapes from a thorn, or a fig from a brier? In this way, all beneficial trees bear honest fruit, but a worthless tree bears harmful fruit. A beneficial tree cannot bear harmful fruit, neither a worthless tree bear honest fruit. All trees that do not bear honest fruit are cut down and cast into fire. In this manner, by their fruit you will know them.

Not all that say to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ enter into the purpose of the Kingdom of Heaven. To the contrary, he that yields the purpose of My Father in Heaven. Many say to Me in that Day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and in Your Name cast out devils and in Your Name yielded many miracles? Then at that time I will agree with the authority of Heaven, them I never knew. You! Depart from Me ministers of wickedness.’” – Matthew 7:13-23, direct translation

pray God's WordEveryone that listens to the fables and traditions of men is in real danger. That is why developing your own closeness to Father YHWH, clarifying your spiritual maturity and growing a spiritual relationship through the Holy Spirit is so important. Salvation through Yahshua [Jesus] the Messiah is the only Way. Through abiding in the Messiah and the power of the Holy Spirit, you are able to discern the truth instead of accepting falsehood. What you do is your day of salvation. (Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Corinthians 6:2; Hebrews 10:26-27; Colossians 2:8; Isaiah 55:8-9; “Delusion & the Tightening Noose of the Beast System“; “Living in an Apostate World“; “Strongholds & the Armor of YHWH“; “Spiritual Disease that Easts at Your Salvation“)

“For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, RNKJV
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your glory. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. Amen.
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
