Incentives of Deception

by John Greene

Nothing affects the quality of your life more than who you share your life with. All relationships are affected by those that you are closest to. Culture and the influence of others is often no exception. In man’s system, Christians in this age also share space with a kosmos full of people that have little or no regard for YHWH’s truth. Deception is often rooted in the very foundation of the practices by those in ‘authority’ or others that choose to have their own way for their own advantage or for the advantage of a manipulator. (Acts 5:29; 1 John 2:17, 3:24, 5:3; Colossians 3:9; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Psalm 101:7; “Deceptions of Ages: How People are Deceived“; “Christian: Deceptions of Generations“; “Breaking Strongholds of False Authority“; “The Magi of this Age“)

marriage-bondIn the society of man, incentives make the world go round: finance, social, moral or ethical, and legal. Most are willing to justify prostitution of their ‘principles’ or ‘values’ for the right price, even though deceit undermines the effort. The herd mentality or peer pressure can also play a role, an incentive by itself. If you can trump up the benefits of a choice, you can justify almost any choice. The world is full of such flexible behavior. Human beings often say one thing and do another. What will you do where your Heavenly Father is concerned? (Luke 6:46; Matthew 6:24; John 13:16-17; Ephesians 5:11; Romans 16:18; Ecclesiastes 8:9; Jeremiah 10:23; Isaiah 55:8; Numbers 23:19; “Do You Live a Lifestyle of Greed?“; “Christians & Finance“; “Consenting to Fables of Men“)

self-deceptionYHWH has given you the power, but He has the ultimate power, promising that on the day you pass on into death, a final judgment is made over your life. Many of us have decided that this is an uncomfortable situation, but choose to ignore it. Others have dismissed such concerns entirely, even denying the existence of any possibility where an Almighty Elohim is concerned. They prefer to be their own boss and you aren’t going to tell them any differently. They are their own god in a man’s world full of gods that compete for your allegiance and priority. (Colossians 2:8; Proverbs 14:12-14, 26, 25:26; “The Idolatry Factor“; “Christian Disciples & the Authority of Man“)

Belief is a problem for many people, even the patriarchs and matriarchs of the Bible. This unbelief is not without consequences. This was the case when 3 messengers were met by Abraham:

“Then they said to him, ‘Where is Sarah your wife?’ So he said, ‘Here, in the tent.’ And He said, ‘I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.’ (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.) Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing. Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, ‘After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?’ And the LORD [YHWH] said to Abraham, “’Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD [YHWH]? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” But Sarah denied it, saying, “I did not laugh,” for she was afraid. And He said, “No, but you did laugh!” – Genesis 18:9-15

Sarah-fountain-of-youthSarah had a habit of failing to believe the promises of her Elohim, her willingness to trust in YHWH. Her actions proved this. She mocked (Hebrew: tsachaq) what the messengers had said despite the promise of YHWH. Rather than believing what Elohim Almighty had said, she believed that she could fulfill His promise by providing a concubine. Abraham had gone along to keep the wife happy as husbands are prone to do. Over time and with the overconfidence of Ishmael (Genesis 16:12; see also ‘Jasher’ or Book of the Upright 21:13-15), Sarah was fearful enough to demand that the provision she made for the family inheritance be driven away into the desert. Ishmael may have even openly threatened Isaac. Once YHWH had made His promised provision, her provision was no longer so delicious. As a result of her mindset, she was unable to see her natural born son marry and start his family as his father did. This is despite the fact that she seemed, by all appearances, to have the fountain of youth. (Genesis 20:1-2) You might see her failing as ‘no big deal’. Each of us is imperfect and fail every day. However, attitudes and hang ups can put anyone in a bad way where YHWH is concerned. Strongholds of the mind and heart can lead anyone into destruction, falling under the influence of the wiles of Satan and his agents. Would Sarah willingly have sacrificed her son as her husband was willing to do? (Genesis 23; Hebrews 11:16-17) How can you be so certain? Take a closer look at scripture, considering what we’ve discussed here. (John 14:15; Matthew 7:14, 21; 1 Peter 1:14-15, 2:11; Jeremiah 17:7-8; James 2:24, 4:7; Psalm 9:10) For Christians, the direction is more clear.

“And as He was setting out on the way, one came running, and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?” And Yahshua [Jesus] said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One – Elohim. “You know the commands, ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not rob,’ ‘Respect your father and your mother.’ ” And he answering, said to Him, “Teacher, all these I have watched over from my youth.” And Yahshua [Jesus], looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One matter you lack: Go, sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven. And come, follow Me, taking up the stake.” But he, being sad at this word, went away grieved, for he had many possessions.” – Mark 10:17-22, ISR98

“Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” – James 1:21-25

The incentives of deception, even deliberate self-deception, are often seen as greater than any future reward or incentive. In the case of YHWH’s Will, this kind of behavior is nothing less than unbelief. Unbelief and rebellion against YHWH are proofs that you have given yourself over to the invention and provision of man. (Isaiah 22:13; Ecclesiastes 8:15) Entrepreneurs of error are everywhere with the idea of cashing in. Sometimes, we believe that we can profit by ignoring or refusing the Will of YHWH. Remember that a substantial portion of societal wisdom is built on a tale that someone has been telling for so long, usually in order to achieve their own interests, that the story is no longer questioned. It’s propaganda. This is a continual happening in this day of deception. Will you willingly be party to this? Many people are bent on trying to game the system, trying to find ways to win what they think they want. While you may be ingenious, you rebel against YHWH at your own personal peril. Those that love the things of YHWH, the provision of the Messiah and the guidance of the Holy Spirit must split the veil of unbelief and cast unbelief aside. (John 14:26, 16:7-15; Acts 5:32; 1 Corinthians 2:13; 1 Samuel 15:23; Proverbs 17:11; “Junk Food & Your Spiritual Nutrition“; “Wisdom & the Battle of Two Kingdoms“; “Knowing Where You Stand on YHWH’s Threshing Floor“)

gaming-the-systemDeceptive incentives work well for the advantage of many for a time, even when the overall outcome is undesirable or destructive. Strategic manipulative behavior and self-interest result in deceit and false accountability. Strategic incentives create false beliefs that deceive others to the advantage of the deceiver. Different levels of knowledge are exploited. A pure and righteous heart motivation, complete and new through the Messiah is vital to walk in YHWH’s track of righteousness. If you aren’t certain about the motivation of the world [the kosmos of man], then consult the scriptures. The humanism of the world has sought to blur the lines of YHWH’s views into a new fashion, a gospel of traditions of men, a political tool of nations and corporations. The strategic control of information sets out to game reality, creating an alternate reality. (Colossians 3:1, 10; Ephesians 4:24; 2 Corinthians 5:17; “The Antichrist & the War on Reality“; “Bible Prophecy and the Rise of the Corporation“; “Delusion & the Tightening Noose of the Beast System“)

The world is full of rebels against YHWH. Billions give lip service to the teachings of ‘Jesus Christ’. Far fewer recognize the role of the Holy Spirit and His legitimacy. When you rebel against the Most High, you are an idolater and habitual liar in the face of reality declared by Him. You prove that you don’t believe and you are effectively spiritually dead – soon to be dead forever. You still have the choice the walk away from the world and the machinations of Satan and his agents. (John 4:14, 18:36-37; Luke 9:60; Galatians 5:16-26, 6:7-8; Romans 12:2; Proverbs 10:9; 1 Peter 5:8-9; 1 John 2:15; “Filling Your Life with Truth Instead of Deception“; “The Struggle for Purity of Heart“; “The Modern Life Culture Crisis“; “Culture: Prompting Falsehood Through the Lie“)

“For YAHWEH so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, HRB
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your righteousness. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. May it be as you have promised!
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
