Replacing Sin and Becoming Set Apart

by John and Ruth Greene

“Truly being made righteous by belief [truth], we possess peace with Elohim through our Master Yahshua Messiah, through whom also we possess access by belief into the same favor in which we continue and exult in the expectation of the honor of Elohim. And not only this, we exult in pressure also, being aware that pressure accomplishes expectant endurance; and endurance, trustworthiness; and trustworthiness, confidence. And confidence is not dishonored because the love of Elohim is spilled out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit [Dedicated, Set Apart Spirit] Who ministers to us.” – Romans 5:1-5, direct translation

supreme court united statesIn this world, the mischief and destruction of sin wants to be your constant companion. (Luke 4:5-8; 2 Corinthians 4:3-4) While the world of man is full of sin and its fruit, you do have a choice. The sacrifice of Messiah makes all the difference. What you believe matters very much. Your willingness to be personally answerable to your belief is a vital beginning. Forgiveness is available through Yahshua [Jesus] through your belief, your trust in the provision of Elohim [‘God’, YHWH]. (Mark 11:25; Ephesians 4:32) These are the foundational building blocks in your personal relationship with your Heavenly Father. What’s better is that this isn’t difficult. You simply need to respond in a positive way that begins to change the course of your life. (James 1:19-20, 3:17-18; 4:1-3; Romans 1:16-17, 8:28, 12:19; 2 Timothy 2:14-17; Deuteronomy 30:12-14; Psalm 112:7; Proverbs 3:5-6; “A Branch of the Vine through Trust“; “Understanding Sin“; “Christians and the Dumbing Down of Sin“; “Being Set Apart Makes You Aware of Sin“)

Set Apart RuachElohim’s loving-kindness brings internal tranquility in your life, as He reigns in your heart. As your purpose becomes clearer, you are willing to give more respect, service, and worship to Elohim, His power and righteousness in all that you do, and are able to do. His power enables you to serve Him in His righteousness, starting with the witness and provision of the Messiah as your example. (John 16:33; Matthew 5:6, 10:34-36; 1 Peter 3:9-11; Romans 15:13; Hebrews 12:12-15) However, this doesn’t end there. You need more help than to work in your own power. You also need the full provision of the Holy Spirit. You must believe the Holy Spirit is real, instead of rejecting Him as so many ‘Christians’ do. He is your Friend and your Counselor, a necessity for any disciple of Yahshua [Jesus]. In this way, the provision of YHWH becomes sovereign in your personal and public life. (Luke 11:13; John 14:15-17, 26, 16:7-15; Romans 8:26; 1 Corinthians 6:17-19; “Trading for the Myth of Peace & Security“; “Abiding With YHWH in Quiet Places“; “YHWH: The Choice to Stay Loyal“)

small Bible studyNone of us is able to be fully like Messiah by ourselves, in the flesh. Along with the life-changing help of the Holy Spirit, each disciple is able to give and receive support from the gathering of brothers and sisters, working together as a symphony in service to our Father. Reaching out to others is a vital part of your personal ministry, just as Yahshua [Jesus] did. Disciples encourage and confront one another, allowing a gathering of disciples a role in guarding their hearts as a group and individually. (Matthew 7:13-14; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; James 5:16; Romans 12:8; 2 Timothy 3:14-17) Those that continually uphold the supremacy of the church often proclaim the church body and its leadership as the center of ‘faith.’ This is a lie and a delusion. Your personal relationship with your Father through Messiah and the Holy Spirit is the center of your trust, instead of in men and the things of men. Yes, we need one another, but we do not worship the gathering of men or its hierarchy, real or imagined. (Acts 2:46, 20:26-28; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 10:24-25; Romans 12:5; “Blind to Righteousness“; “Your Master & Your Obedience“; “Life Healing and Belief“; “What is God’s Church?“; “How YHWH Marks His People“)

When Ruth was training for the Olympics years ago, her coach was the go-to man for her training. He helped her to keep focus on the basics and to hone her skills, and to more fully express her talents. The same is true with your Counselor, your Holy Spirit that connects you directly to Elohim. He is your Coach, allowing change to come as you speak to your Father and learn to study the Bible. In this way, you are strengthened continually in your daily training through Elohim’s righteousness. (“Strengthening Your Motivation“; “The Antichrist & the War on Reality“)

reading scriptureScripture is a key component of your training as well. You need to know what it says and begin to come to an understanding of it through your relationship with the Holy Spirit and the provision of Yahshua [Jesus]. (Matthew 22:29; Romans 15:4; James 1:23-25; Isaiah 55:10-11; Jeremiah 23:29) This helps you keep close to your foundation of truth, and the expectation, the fulfillment of your trust. Your culture and man’s governance, present and past, has designed a lifestyle for you, but that is not the righteousness of your Heavenly Father. Most of it is sin, being apart from Him. (John 15:19; 1 Peter 2:1-25; Colossians 3:10, 4:5; Galatians 5:16; 2 Corinthians 5:17, 6:14-18; “Bible: Wisdom 101“; “Foundation of Salvation“; “Roots of Salvation“; “Culture: Prompting Falsehood Through the Lie“)

“…I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” – John 14:6, HRB

“For YAHWEH is One, also there is one Mediator of YAHWEH and of men, the Man Messiah Yahshua, the One having given Himself a ransom on behalf of all, the testimony to be given in its own time” – 1 Timothy 2:5-6

“But the righteousness of belief speaks in this way, ‘Do not say in your heart, ‘Who shall ascend into the heavens?’’ – that is, to bring Messiah down; or, ‘Who shall descend into the abyss?’’ – that is, to bring Messiah up from the dead. But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart’ – that is, the word of belief which we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth the Master Yahshua and believe in your heart that Elohim has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, and so is saved.” – Romans 10:6-10, ISR98

agreement with YHWHDisciples must recognize that sin is the refusal to recognize and function in YHWH’s Will, doing as He wants – living in His righteousness. The nature of the imperfect flesh is disobedience, which cuts us off from Him. (Adam and Eve opened that door.) Sin says that you will live your own way, as you please. Sin is rebellion. Sin is willful ignorance. Sin says ‘no’ to Elohim, Who is fully righteous. You can’t do wrong and expect righteousness, which is Elohim’s Way. He is right to condemn sin, which sets all apart from Him. (Luke 6:47-49; John 8:34; James 4:7, 17; 1 John 1:8-10, 3:4-10; 2 Timothy 2:19, 3:1-5; 1 Samuel 15:23)

first-fruit-BVLiving a ‘moral life’ doesn’t save either. Only Yahshua [Jesus] saves. He removed your sin as the provision of your Father. Your love and respect for the provision of your Heavenly Father bears fruit in your life, which is evidence of your salvation. You’ll continue to mess up because you are living in flawed flesh. When Yahshua [Jesus] ascended, the Holy Spirit descended. He is your provision in living your life now, helping you to overcome, as you prepare for Elohim’s Kingdom. (Matthew 5:20; 1 Peter 3:12, 14, 5:10; Proverbs 12:28, 21:3; Ezekiel 18:5-9; Isaiah 62:12)

waterfallPersonal sin needs to be forgiven and cleansed. Elohim, in His loving-kindness, reaches out to love and forgive us. He provides the Way for salvation. Yahshua [Jesus], His Son, paid the price. To be saved from destruction is good news, but each person on earth must believe Yahshua [Jesus] as Messiah. His provision forgives those that believe through relationship with the Father. In this way, He sets His people apart to Himself. The Holy Spirit is essential to guard the heart and mind of each disciple, enabling each one to be more like Messiah instead of the world. (Matthew 13:43, 25:21; Mark 1:8; Luke 3:16; Titus 2:11-14, 3:5-7; 1 John 2:5-6; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 12:10; 1 Peter 1:16; 2 Peter 3:9)

mark-of-YHWHs-SpiritThis is the beginning that every set apart disciple of the Messiah makes when he or she claims Yahshua [Jesus] as Savior, offered through Elohim’s unconditional love, for you and everyone willing to listen. There is no pretending. It’s personal. Know this as we enter the final stretch of man’s kosmos, the decoration or order of the system in place now and in the immediate future. (Matthew 13:22, Luke 4:5-6, 14:33, Romans 12:1-2)

“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world [kosmos], the love of the Father is not in him, because all that which is in the world: The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and its lust. But the one doing the will of YAHWEH abides forever.” – 1 John 2:15-17, HRB

“Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Elohim? Whoever therefore intends to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Elohim.” – James 4:4, ISR98

“For YAHWEH so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, HRB
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your righteousness. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. May it be as you have promised!
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The names Yahshua and Yahushua are original language names for Jesus,
He is often referred simply as the Messiah or Master.
