Grace, His Protective Love & You

by John Greene

family fighting boyMen, women and children constantly fuss and fight, with lives full of strife. This is what so many of us have learned to do, by observing the actions of others. You could say that people in this position don’t know any better. The fact remains that some of them do. While claiming to be a disciple of the Messiah [a Christian], what most people do forget is the importance of being firmly and unapologetically rooted in the Father [‘God’, YHWH], what scripture actually says and what the Spirit actually lives. Instead, this can be diluted by the world, which easily becomes idolatry, which can only result in adverse judgment. (“Supporting the Way or the World“; “Encouraging Disciples of Light in the Way“)

“Now, seek first the Sovereignty of Elohim and His righteousness, so all these will be added to you. Don’t be troubled then with the cares for tomorrow, because tomorrow takes thought of its own self. Each day has enough wickedness of its own.” – Matthew 6:33-34, Project for Truth (see Matthew 6:24-32)

cheap-graceProperly rooted love imitates the grace, the enduring love or ‘mercy’, literally the protective love shown by our Father. In the past, I used to use the words ‘unconditional love’ in an effort to express this truth. Yet, this is difficult to identify with in our current fleshly state. It seems or becomes an impossible task that few can truly identify with. In short, it tends to go over our heads, so to speak. Yet, the example that our Father has demonstrated shines no less brightly with love that He offers us every day. While ‘grace’ has become an often nebulous or meaningless word of religious craft, closer examination of the original texts of scripture show that protective love is what our Father and His Son have modeled for us throughout history. (“A Matter of Grace“; “The Grace of YHWH’s Vineyard“; “Real Love“; “Defining Love“; “Respecting Those You Love“)

unbrotherly-love-wCentral to being a disciple is learning to love and allowing yourself to be loved – without worldly expectations. This agape or brotherly love [that the world only pretends to know] is vital to your continued physical and spiritual well-being. Love and building up are grounded in the Sovereignty of Elohim [YHWH, ‘God’] and within Christian ministry in this time, calling disciples to imitate the same protective love, the same grace as Elohim: Father, Son and Spirit. While I have taught all around this truth until now, never did I fully realize that YHWH’s vision of protective love is what He desires for us – the Way to respect and treat one another. This is much easier for disciples to understand, to live with and to operate in. In other words, when disciples support and protect one another with mutual love and respect, with the excellent example that we have been given in scripture, this ‘grace’ takes on an entirely new reality and presence in our lives. (“Set Apart of His Purpose“; “Agape: Discipleship is Renewal“; “Cultivating YHWH’s Grace As You Seek Truth“)

When you seek the Father’s Sovereignty first, everything else that you need is added by promise. To many, this is seen as sacrifice and loss of control, something that they and the rest of the world fear. However, our Messiah says that more is at stake for those that reject Him. (“Fighting a World of Fear & Delusion“; “Are You Rejecting YHWH’s Spirit?“)

“And inviting the multitude together with His disciples, He said to them, ‘Anyone that chooses to come after Me must disown himself and take up his stake, and be the same as Me, because the one that supposes to delight in protecting his life destroys himself, but the one that supposes to lose his life because of Me and the good message, this one saves it. But what does a man benefit when he gains the whole world, and loses his own life? And what does a man offer in exchange for his life? In this adulterous and wicked generation, the one that supposes to be ashamed of Me and My Words, the Son of man will be ashamed of that one also, when He comes in the judgment of His Father behind the messengers set apart to Him.’” – Mark 8:34-38, Project for Truth

hypno-control-authority-wThe truth of the matter is best focused on with this question as follows: What do you truly control in your life? When properly considered, your answer would be ‘precious little’ or ‘almost nothing’. The world is on its own course, much of which is set by decisions of the past. So there is truly nothing to fear when you trust in the provision of your Father. In His grace, Yahshua [Jesus] set Himself and His disciples apart from the world in a way that is visible to all, a demonstration of love and authority that is nothing like the world. (“Replacing Sin and Becoming Set Apart“; “Religion, Politics, Power & Financial Corruption“; “Breaking Strongholds of False Authority“: “Truth About the Modern Concept of Pastor“)

“But Yahshua invited them over, advising them, ‘See those that suppose to rule the nations by subduing them, and those in power that exercise authority over them. But it must not be this way with you. Rather, those of you supposing to delight in greatness among you must be your servant, and whoever supposes to be first among you must be servant to all. Because even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve and offer His life as a ransom, instead of many.’” – Mark 10:42-45, Project for Truth

The order of His Sovereignty, even His love stands in opposition to the world, the orderly arrangement of things created by man. The Way of the Father’s love is not manifested by the world, in agreement with the world, nor is it part of the world, except by those living set apart to Him that are not part of the world. (“Disciples & the Occult of the World“; “Living in an Apostate World“; “Mind Control of the Beast“; “Christians, Tyranny & the Man of Lawlessness“; “Scriptures – Quodesh, Being Set Apart“)

“Yahshua answered, ‘My Sovereignty is not from this world. If My Sovereignty was in agreement with this world, My servants would desire to fight, in order that I would not be surrendered to the Jews. But at present My Sovereignty is not here.” – John 18:36, Project for Truth

shareLiving within Elohim’s protective love is the most excellent way. (1 Corinthians 13:1) Sharing that with others, especially within your closest relationships is part of your personal ministry of ‘grace’ in imitation of His protective love. Love isn’t simply about feeling good. Love is caring. Love is commitment. Love is helpful. Love is even sacrificial. Love is also a choice! When you choose to listen to Elohim, to follow the example of Yahshua [Jesus], while allowing the Spirit to work His change in you for the better, you grow in spiritual maturity into His righteousness and unselfish love. (1 John 4:5, 7-11) Real love is set apart, as a disciple is set apart to His Father, as love completes the true believer in the Messiah. In this way, each man and woman can learn to manifest the Father’s love much as He does. Whoever knows Elohim listens to Him, His Word and the voice of His Spirit. (1 John 3:7-12, 4:4, 6) Real love doesn’t sin or rebel against Elohim either. Love isn’t an idol to live up to, nor is love a people pleaser. It is evidence of Elohim’s Spirit that lives in you as a disciple of the Messiah, saved through the washing of the Word, through the regeneration and renewing of the Set Apart Ruach [Dedicated, ‘Holy Spirit’]. Through His grace, His protective love, disciples become heirs through the trust of eternal life.

“Now when the righteousness and kindness towards man by Elohim [‘God’, YHWH] our Savior came to light, not by works through the loving restoration of righteousness which we have lived, yet according to His love [covenant love, compassion] saved us through the washing of regeneration [new life dedicated to Elohim] and being made new in the Set Apart Spirit [‘Holy Spirit’], which He poured out on us abundantly through Yahshua [Jesus] Messiah our Savior. These are set right in His favor, being heirs according to the expectation of eternal life, believing the Word and such things that I am willing to affirm thoroughly to you, because trusting in Elohim thoughtfully presides over honorable works. These works are worthy and profitable to man.” – Titus 3:4-8, direct translation

blind-authority-wLove is compared to light and hatred to darkness in the first chapter of 1 John. Light is like truth in that the truth of Elohim exposes the darkness and those that live in it. Since darkness cannot exist in the light of YHWH’s truth, nor through His Spirit, each disciple puts aside sinful lifestyles of the world. A sinful lifestyle is repetitive, full of destructive footholds and strongholds. Material wealth and success aren’t wrong in themselves, but these attributes of the ‘natural world’ don’t insure that righteousness will endure, nor do these necessarily spring from His righteousness. Putting material goods first will derail your righteousness in the Way, your love and your walk in Messiah and Spirit. (Matthew 7:13-14; Psalm 100:5; “YHWH’s Track of Righteousness“; “Disciples: His Showbread Walking Out His Righteousness“; “Strongholds & the Armor of YHWH“)

rationalizeIn the case of love in the marriage relationship, love of your Father is firmly linked to how you treat yourself, as well as your spouse. Your body is your temple, as well as part of your expression of love. (1 Corinthians 6:15-20) When you admit that love never fails, this is the ultimate relationship commitment. That protective love doesn’t fade even though it may face rejection or trial. Love moves forward in trust even though that love faces challenges. Love refuses to give up. Love does not fail. Love stands strong and true, despite any internal temptations to waver because of opposition. (“Shining Love Toward Others in Righteousness“; “Disciples of Messiah: Wavering Between Two Opinons“; “Husband: Loving As Messiah Loved“; “Breakthrough  Prayer: Love“)

Love doesn’t stop or that profession of love is no longer love. Protective love is exactly the kind of love that the Father wants His people to exhibit, to live fully, even though this is not what multitudes of Christians know or do. Of all the fruits of the Spirit that the Apostle Paul listed in Galatians 5, love is first because His love continues through the power of the Set Apart Ruach, the Holy Spirit, the unchanging Counselor of Elohim. (Romans 11:29; Luke 21:33) When all else seems to fail or fall short, the Word stands unchanged. That is what His grace and patient love, His protective love are about – Elohim’s special gift to His people as they stand in agreement with Him. (Matthew 18:18-20; James 1:2-8)

disciples-praying-in-agreementThe power of the Spirit, through prayer, is able to bear much fruit, especially when two or more are willing to act in agreement with scripture. Even the agreement of two disciples is more powerful than the superficial agreement of a whole body of people, wherever they may be. The power of the Spirit makes the difference.  When two or more sincere-hearted believers filled with the Set Apart Spirit pray according to their Father’s will, not just their own, great moves of Elohim are brought into being through their trust. (“Prayer & Life in Messiah“; “Prayer & Your Trust“; “Understanding Sin“; “The Unpardonable Sin“)

This is all about making a choice. Is Elohim your truth or are the circumstances and opposition in life the truth in your life? This is worth thinking about. Once you make a choice for Him, don’t allow your mouth and heart to speak against your Father or His provision, either in word or action. (Matthew 15:18) Don’t be afraid or discouraged. Don’t apologize for personal trust in Him, or for seeking His advice through the Counsel of His Spirit. Simply turn aside from the past (repent), from any mistake or error in judgment, as you bring your thought life and your mouth life into line with the Word of Elohim, willingly and fully forgiving one another. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3; “Christians & the Dumbing Down of Sin“; “Is Your Forgiveness Real?“; “The Reality of Judgment & Your Preparation“; “Are You One of the Walking Dead?“)

“Love is patient, is kind, love does not envy, love does not boast, is not puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not seek its own, is not provoked, reckons not the evil, does not rejoice over the unrighteousness, but rejoices in the truth, it covers all, believes all, expects all, endures all. Love never fails…” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, ISR98

“For YAHWEH so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, HRB
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your righteousness. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. May it be as you have promised!
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The name Yahshua [Y’shua] is an original language name for Jesus.
He is often referred to simply as the Messiah or Master.
