The Plan for Your Life

by John Greene

“For I declare my intentions that I purpose toward you,’ says YHWH, ‘intentions of well-being, not of evil, to bring forth what I long for in the end. Call out to me, walk and pray to me, as I listen to you. Seek to be in My presence and worship with all your heart.’“ – Jeremiah 29:11-13, P4T

narrow-path-track-righteousnessThere is a plan for your life. There is a plan for your life! I hear this sentiment and exclamation over and over when religious leaders and evangelists speak to crowds of Christians looking for knowledge and encouragement. Yet, how often do you find that this is truly explained? What is His Will for your life? What kind of plan does your Heavenly Father have for you? It isn’t necessarily what you think you are hearing. (Colossians 3:10; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Psalm 119:105; “Plans to Prosper You“)

daydreamWhen considering life, most people have learned to accept dreams and goals as the earmarks in life. Do you possess the dreams and goals that you are reaching for? Most of us would say “no”, or these ideas would no longer be goals or dreams. You would have them and they would be reality in this world. Everyone has disappointments and broken expectations, no matter how small – and how quickly each of us can blame this on someone else, including the devil. To cast blame is part of fallen mankind. (James 1:22-25) Attitude matters as well in all things, and can have everything to do with both your goals and your ability or willingness to reach them. The real concern needs to be who you or what you are in agreement with! (Romans 12:1-2; John 17:15-18; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18)

If that last statement isn’t a shocker, consider it again. Who are you in agreement with? You might reason that because you think it, or believe that you think what you are thinking, that this is “God’s Will”. Are you certain about that? Think again partner.

cultureLife is a bundle of influences, culture and outright propaganda that have nothing whatever to do with your Heavenly Father or His righteousness. In reality, the degree that you are touched by these things has everything to do with where you stand in His Will. That’s a stunning thought that multitudes of professed Christians would want to try to deny. Surprisingly, what has been turned into beautiful prose in the 23rd Psalm is just one place that actually makes the point about your Heavenly Father’s plans, His deepest aspirations for your life. This prose has become the bedrock of Bible tradition – and few have dared to consider the deeper meaning that resides there and in other related scripture. (“Attack of Advertising & Propaganda“; “The Antichrist & War on Reality“)

“YHWH tends His flock without lack, allowing them to recline in pastures of sprouted shoots, sustained by quiet waters.” – Psalm 23:1-2, P4T

sheepfold doorIn this passage, scripture compares YHWH with a shepherd, and His people as sheep. With a touch of pride, this can be hard to swallow. Pride cannot imagine mankind as being anything like sheep. However, this isn’t about human pride. This is about love and the acceptance of that love, submission to YHWH and Yahshua [Jesus] as High Priest. Our Father provides a pasture full of fresh nutritious shoots, full provision for what is needed for His flock when they accept His provision. This pasture isn’t simply green foliage, but the finest that can be provided, direct from Him. (John 10:11) The image provided is the height of peaceful settings: reclining in fresh sprouted pastures along refreshing and calm waters. He is the oasis, the refreshing waterspring of His people. (Philippians 4:6-7; “YHWH’s Track of Righteousness“; “Psalm 91: Lifestyle & Protection“; “Leadership & the Universal Authority of Messiah“)

“He converts my living being, guiding me in His track of righteousness because of His Authority.” – Psalm 23:3, P4T

baptism-of-trust-Holy-SpiritElohim [‘God’, YHWH] restores or converts us as persons, even as He guides each of us in His track of righteousness. However, Christians cannot assume they are restored simply because they call themselves Christian, assuming that they are magically led in thought. What is involved is the personal guidance of the Spirit [Set Apart Spirit, ‘Holy Spirit’] for those that are willing to accept that guidance. (Titus 3:5; Isaiah 26:3) This conversion or restoration over time is essential to following His guidance. Most translations of scripture show “paths of righteousness” in a very generic sense, as if many paths exist in righteousness of YHWH, as if the provision of Yahshua [Jesus] made later was less important than what people have in mind now. The Hebrew word used for “paths” [magalah] is not a multitude of paths, or a path of choice. There are not many paths of righteousness leading to Him. Magalah is a firmly established track, a rampart, entrenchment or circular trench in battle. This word comes from the root word “agal” which means round or encircling. Magal literally means the trench made from the wheels of carts that are pulled by oxen to tread grain, which made trenches or ruts. Ultimately, this is the Way of expressing our Father’s protective love through His established hedge of protection. (Psalm 37:5; Proverbs 3:1-35; “The Great Apostasy of Unrighteousness“)

This magalah is a course of life, determined not by you or I, but by Elohim. Our Heavenly Father has established or set His track of righteousness that is to be followed with the guidance of scripture and the Spirit. This track [life course] is a battlement in which we are partners with the Most High in a spiritual war. Through your commitment and partnership you receive His protection and favor into the Sovereignty of His Age. This is a dramatic departure from the typical perception of Christians through tradition and philosophies. YHWH has established a predetermined lifestyle or track that He has set out for His people as opposed to the lifestyle of mammon presented by the world. Living in the track of YHWH’s righteousness involves cooperation, obedience and partnership in spiritual warfare through relationship [including prayer], setting oneself apart from the world that encourages a lifestyle of mammon. (Deuteronomy 30:19-20; Isaiah 48:18; Matthew 6:7-8; Psalm 139:1-4; Colossians 1:16-17; Romans 6:23, 9:19-21; “A Disciple in Warfare“)

death-to-lifeYHWH’s track of righteousness is lifestyle, way of life, or how a disciple conducts himself or herself. Without question, the disciple is involved in spiritual warfare. Beyond that reality, YHWH’s track of righteousness demands a measure of answerability on the part of the disciple. Disciples must be willing to cooperate and live in agreement with their Heavenly Father. He has set in place an established track of righteousness for all His people to walk on. This is the predestination that so many clamor about, as if people don’t have free choice that YHWH declared they do. YHWH’s track of righteousness is a battlement at the front of spiritual warfare on earth. Ultimately, you have free will to make the lifestyle choice that you will, even if you stray from His pasture. Your Father will seek you even though He will let you do exactly what you please as you reap the fruit of that choice. Yes, originally he created mankind to be set apart to Him. (John 15:16; 1 John 4:19) Free will is a real gift that lets each of us choose to love Him because of what we desire. (Ephesians 2:10; Philippians 2:13; Romans 8:28; Ecclesiastes 9:10; Proverbs 21:5; “Freedom in Truth“; “A Yoke of Slavery or Freedom“; “What Lifestyle Are You Pursuing“; “Do You Live a Lifestyle of Greed?“)

Bible knowledgeHe guides His flock, first through his Word, for you to read, understand and love. All of this is done through His protective love because of His Authority, for the sake of His Name. When you respond to Him as one dedicated to Him, trusting Him, you are set apart to Him as you walk in His track of righteousness. (Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 40:4; James 1:5; “A Branch of the Vine Through Trust“; “Abiding in Trust“)

“Enter in through the narrow gate. Because wide is the gate and spacious the road, put to death through destruction, and many, by their reason, agree to enter. For narrow is the gate and troublesome is the road, the one that leads to life, and few agree to obtain it.“ – Matthew 7:13-14, P4T

“In this way, as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I revere no evil.” – Psalm 23:4, P4T

fear-gnashing-teethWhenever we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we need have no fear because YHWH is with us. Whether danger is real, imminent, or imagined, YHWH is there. He is with you, whether you walk the earth or reside with Him. Through the chastening of His rod and support of His staff, He seeks to strengthen the members of His flock through the truth of His Word and your set apart relationship/partnership with Him. (“Building a Relationship With YHWH“; “The Regeneration of Love“; “A Work of Renewal & Completion“)

agreement with YHWHReality is that until each of us agrees with Elohim, each of us limits what can be accomplished as we live out our days. Each of us much learn to discern, to become fully aware of the lies that Satan and his agents teach. Then, you must stop believing those lies, and begin to take action in your life. By cleansing our minds and hearts, setting our trust and love on Elohim, we come to have the mind of our Messiah, thinking more and more as He thinks through the understanding of scripture and regeneration of the Spirit. As your thinking lines up with scripture and Spirit, you are walking His track of righteousness, living this daily. (1 Corinthians 2:16; Philippians 4:13) This reflects your love and your devoted service to Him. (Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 5:11; Matthew 19:26; Luke 18:27; Psalm 91:1-16; “Understanding Sin“; “Guarding Yourself From the Idolatry of Unbelief“; “Faith: What You Believe is Important“; “Dealing With Separation From Personal Well-Being“)

His loving provision as you trust Him and walk in His righteous track [magalah] is exactly what your Heavenly Father has in mind. (“Living as Partners & Friends in Messiah Through Provision“)

“For YAHWEH so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16, HRB
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for sending the Messiah, your only begotten Son to be my Savior. I believe in Him and have made this belief the center of my life. Because of this, by faith I have everlasting life! Thank you! I repent of my sins and of my past, freely admitting that I have fallen short of Your righteousness. I look fully forward to you in my life and commit my life to You. Thank You YHWH, my Heavenly Father for setting me free in the name of your Son Yahshua [Jesus]. May it be as you have promised!
genuine-articleYou will never enjoy true freedom through the Messiah and power of the Holy Spirit unless you read and absorb the Bible in prayer and trust. You will never know this freedom until you experience it for yourself. Get to know your Heavenly Father, His Son and allow the Holy Spirit to work in your life. The Holy Spirit is your teacher, your Holy Counselor that lives in you to help you learn about the truth of YHWH and His spiritual gifts.
Satan does not want you to have the excellence of YHWH in your life. People pray for protection and want to be taken care of, but often do little in growing close to Him. The world, your husband, your wife, your family, your government do not build your trust in YHWH or free you from spiritual bondage. Your church or your pastor cannot save you. Education, power and money will not free you, but only the Word of your Heavenly Father. Salvation is a daily walk, an act of love for yourself and for those around you, not a one-time event that centers only on you. Make the Word of YHWH your own, your very life!
YHWH is Yahweh, the covenant name of your Heavenly Father.
The name Yahshua [Y’shua] is an original language name for Jesus.
He is often referred to simply as the Messiah or Master.
