The majority of our lives each of us can be blind to the splendor and ignorant of the love from our Father. Still, there are times that those that seek a deeper relationship with the Father take notice of what He has done for us. Jacob had a special moment of awe, where anxiety became the relief of true peace, and through that process, a deeper understanding through personal revelation. Before personal revelation came to Jacob, he could only see the things he feared. Jacob began to see himself in proper perspective in view of the generosity of his Elohim YHWH, as Jacob returned to his old home to seek the favor of his brother Esau. (Genesis 32-33; “Bringing Real Peace“; “The Plan for Your Life“)
Genesis 32:10 tells us of this moment:
“I am a small thing compared to all of the kindness of Your favor and compared to Your support that You have granted to Your servant. Certainly Your rod crossed over the Jordan with me. At this moment I have become two camps.”
Jacob had a revelation about his life. His life was filled with righteous things, the provision of Elohim. He could see past the fear that had consumed him. In order to have the opportunity to reunite in peace with his brother, Jacob placed himself wholly in the care of His Father, just as he humbled himself before Esau. Having crossed over the Jordan with part of his group, Jacob submitted his heart wholly to the greatness of the loving-kindness that YHWH had shown Him. He trusted that this would continue. Within this personal revelation, Jacob saw himself as small compared to the love of His Father. He was willing to diminish himself and cast away the worldly trappings of pride. He more fully realized the loving-kindness he enjoyed in his relationship with His Father. Now he was expanding this vision more fully in his life. He was enlarging his horizon of trust.
